I thought this rumour was deader than plaid. And I also thought J was straight-edge (another can of worms?!)

      Death to the rumour mill!

I thought the review was pretty ridiculous….How he’s passing off a bunch of crap
as fact. Where did he get this info?

hey sludgemaster, we discussed the ‘Uma question’ last time in December 2002. You can find the topic here. It has got links to some older discussions about it, too.

flying cloud- thanks a ton….that makes so much sense! a lot clearer and now the year punk broke has new meaning….i always assumed that interview was a joke…but the madona parody theme is great.

I have an old interview of J and Murph from a French magazine where Murph says he was a drug addict…But the only things J seems to be addict to in this article is MUSIC…

There was this very interesting BBC6 radio interview last year, where J talked about the Straight Edge movement:

J said, that nearly anyone around him was taking drugs when he was about 15 years old. Many of the students were hippies and they took lots of drugs. Many of the British punks seemed to be heroin addicts and in the US they were into LSD and the likes…

J said, he liked the ‘Straight Edge’ movement because these people were into the music, not into the drugs, like himself.

You can still listen to the interview here :P

j’s cannot be straight edge, he has to smoke pot, i thought there were alot of references to it in certain songs anyway…but i spose it could just be my interpretation…i’d like to know though.
