Okay, SG, then you need to come to Athens and we can take some JC Penny Guitars and throw them around, step on them, take some drum sticks and press on the strings, we can plug things in and unplug them. How about take some Cymbals and just throw them at each other.

Ok,but as long as we can look for fire ants and sing along to all the songs on Selling England By The Pound ;)

I would only hope you know how to dodge verbal bullets.

I’m in a foxhole today dodgeing verbal bullets……I think folks get stressed around the holidays.

I want to set up a device to record phone convesations (not really legal) and then use some of that recording…………..Is it the money, is it thought of being with in in-laws?
What makes some folks lose it this time of year, I quess the same old stuff.

I got a call earlier, I had to hold the phone away from my head………sounded like the teacher from Charlie Brown punticated with an occasionl group of words like
"sick of this shit" " Tifton DA’s office" "fu*king shit" "judgment down" "G-Damned fu*king bullshit" "calls roll over to voice mail " "I’ll show them papers from Atlanta" "some kind of shit"

        Hello, Merry Christmas! :D

How do you answer a call like that, hey Dude, It’s Christmas time, lets let it go for about a week…………..relax………..get with the Christmas program.

I have to defend Sonic Youth too!

If you can create something wonderful like this:

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLHmHI8Noc8&mode=related&search=

…I’d say you’ve earned the right to sonically torture your audience with any Godsforsaken worse-than-worst toothache brainless noise you feel like making.

I’d choose some good useless ear-hurting noise over useless brain-hurting astrology "lessons" that certain people think you need, anyday.

          Robert,
How the hell did you avoid knowing that you’re a libra until just recently? God, I envy that kind of indifference. I’ve been forced to know that I’m a libra for ages.

I thought it was pretty cool. I would have prefered Sonic Youth to have a noise jam or something rather than playing nearly all of their latest album when I saw them. I think it’s great to see bands experiment especially live but I can see why some people are against it.

Yes it’s easy to make noise but it’s also easy to make shitty songs like most bands in the world seem to be doing. It would be so grateful if the radio started to just play noise instead of all the crap i hear day in day out.

I am not religious or anything but I do pray I never feel the urge to start a really shit band and make people play my shit songs on the radio and become some lame pop/rockstar. Surely that is worse than making noise

But through astrology you can make jokes about looking at uranus. Truly it can’t be that bad…Oh wait, that’s astronomy. Nevermind.

Now be honest, how many of you sing this to yourself when you are sitting in a waiting room?

Hey, Maxini that is a nice song from Sonic Youth you posted.

See, what I mean now I’m dodging Maxini’s verbal bullets about Astrology! but thats alright, I’m in a good mood.

but I just feel that Sonic Youth esp. a few certain members are trying so hard to be "cool" that it comes off as hokey or contrived. I never believe that they are being "real" …it feels as if they are putting on some sort of act. I see through it………..it actually pains me to see them perform because I see how they struggle to override their own personalities and do this "stuff" thats supposed to be cool.

I don’t know, it’s a bit of a skill of mine, I am always searching for what the truth of a matter is, truth is often subjective,of course, but most of us tend to put even our own truths aside. Most of us live in the realm of second and third thoughts. Our aim should be to move back to our first thoughts always.

First thoughts have tremendous energy. The first thought gives us our true feelings and our true selves, they are the thoughts that we first act from. Our internal censor usually squelches the first thoughts, so folks tend to live in the realm of second and third thoughts, We think, Oh, they wouldn’t like that or perhaps they would like this better or I don’t want to be ridiculous or I don’t want to be embarrassed or I want to be cooler. Or I want to have more attention or less.

I believe that the Sonic Youth folks are so many thoughts removed from their true selves that it’s painful for me to witness.

I would guess it is about the same. But………my idea of shit and yours (or anyones) could be different and that is why the world is an exciting place……….yeah

but oh, Girl, Uranus does factor into my astrology…………… ;)

As far as experimental live, Okay, the next time J comes to Athens, wait… the Atlanta market has a bigger pull, lets say next time J comes to Atlanta, perhaps he can sit and make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for an hour. Hey, it’s J Mascis, it would be experimental, PBJ sandwiches with loud feedback.

The Markers could open………..You know what… I don’t smoke weed…………perhaps that’s been the problem all along……….Oh, My, I think I just reached an understanding.

I have never had a problem with Fugazi…..they are fairly first thought folks.

I know what you mean by the ultra-cool/hipper than thou vibe SY tries to go for.I don`t pay that as much mind as just getting into the music.I don`t love everything they`ve done and I would`nt say I`m a massive fan but they`re still an old standby of a band to me.You know those artists that are like the regular food you eat or that old tv show you love no matter how many reruns you saw.Silver Rocket was the first song I heard of them,it was in 1990 when New Kids On The Block and Milli Vanilli and MC Hammer were what my classmates were into ::) SY seemed like exciting rock music to me.A few years later SY would catch on to my high school in the Dirty era,but I doubt any of those kids that scratched SY into their textbooks then even listen to them now.
Here`s the same performance I saw in 1990 of Silver Rocket that got me into this kind of music in the first place:

Thanks SG, for understanding, that rocket song is pretty good, I had heard that one before, I’m down with that song.

As far a a bunch of folks getting around and making noise………..I’ll say something very sexist..

If the guys are hot(cool, whatever) and we are all drinkin’ beer sitting around the fire……..then they could do the experimental thinG………look at these cuties.

Oh, I like the jumping cars that was cool and I never did say I loved the flaming Lips with lasers that was GREAT.

I love Jack Black ever wonder why he talks so much Virgo/Gemini combo
I could actually listen to him before SY………..listen to how he tells kyle not to force it when it comes to the music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xulKoRDNlv8 xulKoRDNlv8 ….Don’t force it……..just let it come………that’s it Jack Black, the brothers got it going on……….I just love his Aussie Medley. I could listen to that over and over again.

Robert, I hope you "grow up" before the age of 40 because some of falls will hurt after 40.

You wont be able to stand up as fast……and when you do stand up you might be walking funny for several days, trust me on this.

I think Den Buck is older and bikes but I wonder if he does stuff like that….Probably not!

So the time is now to quit your job and travel the world.
