You could be right about the duplicate rock, they always have body doubles in flicks so why not the same for our rock??? Should we post this on ebay for all to bid on…I think your right we could be zillionaires before the day is up….sounds cool to me!!!!

Had mine authenticated by this hippie who lives in a van down by the river [img]images/smiles/converted/biggrin.gif[/img] He was listening to Neil Young when I knocked on his door so thought it would be cool. This guys pretty good, quite the reputation…said he was pals with Alison Anders so hmmmmm. I think he may have been utilizing some substances…will have to get a recheck done just to be sure. Still, I suggest you double check your rocks authenticity again. I got pretty lucky as a kid, my parents were listening to Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra and other sorta cool but odd stuff. Also had a uncle who was a very bad teenager, got shipped out to live with us….cool influence on me…don’t think my parents would have agreed back then though. He played tons of Stones, Bowie, Animals….even CCR [img]images/smiles/converted/biggrin.gif[/img]
So that was my main musical influence thru the early years. When I started to go see live shows…underage minor at the time…some local groups started doing Pistols covers. That was it I was hooked, started checking out local Punk scene…very small at the time. Haven’t looked back since, have made some of the best friendships thru music. Friendships that don’t rely on geographical location but just that initial connection around music…intensely cool [img]images/smiles/converted/eek.gif[/img]
Also wanted to say you should check out the thread in open topic….guilty pleasures. Sure you have a few…like we all do [img]images/smiles/converted/tongue.gif[/img]

Glad we agree, I have used that if we all agreed line the world would be a boring place many times it makes perfect sense to me. I can see that this topic definitely means a lot to you, and the fact that you are well read on the matter is obvious to all no doubt. I try hard not to make any assumptions about anyones intelligence with the limited info shared thru posts to this bbs. We are a community of all kinds…varied ages, locations, spaces and occupations. .. some fully cooked and ready to go others still in the formative stages, which is one of the cool things about freakscene. So opinions shared are cool, no matter how developed or underdeveloped they are at least its a start.

While I am into a different type of Heartbreakers…the Johnny Thunders variety…was wondering if Scotty Thurston is still playing with your heartbreakers. He toured with The Stooges…Metallic KO era/sang back up and played keyboards/harmonica…pretty cool. He also played guitar on New Values by Iggy, and some of Kill City so pretty cool bio for a guy.
