Hey salamiguy,

Mexcal Head by swervedriver is amazing,
Duress, Harry &Maggie, Blowin Cool…WOW.
Raise is my fav release by Swervedriver, god Son of Mustang Ford kills me every time. Rave Down will be on my top 5 today…actually now You should definitely check out Ejector Seat Reservation if you haven’t already…continues to shock me every time I hear the title song….in a really good way

Their last release though had only a couple of almost decent songs, only my opinion though…just not sonic enuf!!! Hopefully they get back to the studio soon and TURN IT UP

Hey DFK,

Sounds like a pretty wicked idea, afraid if I tried that with Poledo or Don’t I would end up taking out someone/thing…

Thanks for filling in the blanks with that story JohnBonhamisGod….too cool Honestly cannot imagine the HORROR of pulling out one of those bottles of "kidney filtered water" Not many tour stories can rival that one, definitely right when you said Watt is never boring…

Allison

ps the drummer from Swervedriver is writing a book, they have a couple of chapters up here
the customs bit is pretty funny http://www.swervedriver.com/
just scroll down on the right for Jez’s book

Hey,

Like I said I LOVE the song More Light, listen to it at least twice a day…sometimes more
I have also tried to work my way thru a couple Dino songs thru repeated listenings…ahhhh…sad thing is it doesn’t always work. Poledo and Don’t continue to haunt me to this day…after repeated listenings I found that I had some wicked Post Trauma type symptoms when I heard similar songs…wicked startle response, flight or fight system kicked in and I would run for the cd player…usually make it in the 1st couple of seconds

Pretty sure Spaceboy has tried to like More Light the song, just hope he hasn’t experienced the same symptom list I experience with Don’t and Poledo
But like Spaceboy said 1 song out of god knows how many is not a bad average at all

Allison

ps salamiguy…cool mom definitely…meets the Ventures…gotta love that

Once I picked myself up off the floor after seeing that pic I started to try and imagine the whole scenario. Not the Watt bit..that is pretty much understood, but the finding of the bottles, the discussion leading up to J talking to Watt about losing the bottles…god!!! Too funny, but your right its not my reality…YIKES

Never had that particular customs experience, that had to be a horrible process. Guess its a good thing they didn’t think to do some substance testing on that liquid…would not have been good. Have to admit though, when I see someone drinking a bottle of Volvic water I smile, sometimes ask if they are enjoying the "beverage"

Allison…who will definitely be keeping a much closer eye on her travel companions in the future…

Hey Salamiguy,

Forgot to answer your original question about Under My Thumb. We have a 45/single 1945 with Under My Thumb on it. As well the compilation deal..gotta love Social Distortion. Not completely sold on the solo Mike Ness though, maybe will give it another spin

Hey,

Spaceboy your right that Ramones cover you put up awhile ago is very cool. Damned did a Jefferson Airplane tune as well, White Rabbit…pretty cool.

Salamiguy I like all Social D, have seen them more than a few times. Once in Huntington Beach at Safari Sam’s they played with TSOL, two shows in the same nite…amazing.
Will definitely check out that site, Rocks Off is a perfect song, love to check out anyone who covers it….except maybe Abba(???)
