Hey,

My fav is the most recent tour, Minneapolis November 4th…absolutely amazing. Other fav is Minneapolis again but in 93…I think…kinda fuzzy on the date. Went down with some friends for the 93 gig…my friend JJ’s wife drove us mad, my husband actually put her in a head lock and gave her a chinese haircut…she thought he was joking…couldn’t ditch them until they picked up the tickets to the show..of course we did after that. I couldn’t hear properly for a week after the 93 show, last November it took about 3 days. I suspect I have damaged my ears and it took less time to recover d/t the very poor state of my hearing to begin with….oh well.

Rubrick…great post again I could almost see the stare…sounds amazing.

Hey Robert,

This really hurts but I have to admit I liked Dookie as well, confession doesn’t always feel good though…still hurts. Actually saw them in 94 at a relatively small club with only 500 people at the most, was fun but during that show noted how similar most songs are. They recently have been giving credit to Husker Du for the huge impact they had on their song writing, personally I don’t see it but hey at least they give the credit not just rip it off.

Didn’t buy any more Green Day, got pretty sick of it really fast. Think part of the thrill was that mid 94 I was living out of town to attend school in a very odd place and I finally got to go home full time….back to my life!!! I was giddy for about the first 3 months, it wasn’t my fault it was the elated mental state took away my usually discriminating taste……Yeah Right!!!

Hey Robert,

Appreciate the post but doubt that I have more knowledge than you…you gave me the Flaming Sideburns…too cool.

Lots of my favs are inbetween releases right now, The Flaming Lips are in the studio god knows how long that will take but can’t wait for that one. Swervedriver put out some great stuff, the last one though was way too mellow for me. Rumor is they are recording a new one soon, hopefully it is more along the lines of their earlier releases like Raise, Ejector Seat Reservation anad Mezcal Head…all loud and sonic which is just how I like…no need it. I think Adam Frankin is doing a short tour in the states for his Toshack Highway release…wish he would focus on Swervedriver though.

Scott Morgan has a new release coming out, http://i94bar.com/ints/mediumrare.html
good info at the above address. Apparently the Hydromatics are awaiting the release of a new one as well.

William Reid ex of Jesus and Mary Chain…my heroes…has some interesting stuff out under the name Lazycame. If anyone out there knows what Jim Reid is doing please let me know, I miss JAMC!!!

New Christs are ok, kinda hit or miss though but they are touring now in Europe so if you can check them out.

Thats all my tiny brain can handle right know but will think on it and post more if I break out of this zombie trance…too many Tanqueray and Tonic’s…was fun though.

Allison

ps hope the snow has finally left…beautiful here….

Hey Rubrick,

Definitely will do the snail mail thing to try and get them to interview J, good news though Jeremiah posted a review where J describes his drums and fav cymbals….http://www.freakscene.net/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=000165″>http://www.freakscene.net/cgi-bin/ubb/u … 4&t=000165

Just a small bit on the drums but pretty cool interview…if you live near a guitar center head out and get that live cd and post it to the ftp if you can…..please!!!

I would love to see a video collection as well, the DVD suggestion would be amazing if it happened!!!

I would pay for live show downloads no problem…definitely.

Hey Everyonelovesjaron,

Glad your up for the challenge, look out freakscene….just kidding.

A Cryons fan, hmmm I kinda remember knocking someone out of the play offs last season. All they had to do was beat the 4-11 BEARS last game of the season with Cade McClown playing….but no they lost 23-20 and got booed wickedly as they left their own home field….Detroit fans were so pissed. I watch that game on video every now and then just for a laugh…along with the vikings loss to the giants in the play offs…hehehehehe. All kidding aside the NFC Central….always be that for me…will be ruled by the BEARS again…oh oh my delusional beliefs are starting early this year…but I am right…honest I am.

So Hey Ho Lets Go….
