Hey osx,

Love those pics, looking forward to a few more. The warm up pic with Asheton is too cool, Mascis on drums….wow wow wow!!!
Caught a link to your site from copperblue.net for the Bob Mould pics, appreciate those as well!!!

That set list for Mascis is HUGE, guess there is a reason for those glasses…but holy cow

Hey Kockney,

I remember Foxton and The Jam, he was a great bass player. Saw him play in the late 80’s at The Cricketeers club by Oval…it was kinda scary, reminded me of Journey or something. I might have had a few too many pints but it really sounded icky. I think some girl called Watt on playing too many notes for the songs, still would rather have Watt play bass though…only my opinion

Here is a link to the French gig, definitely better sound and picture…

Hey,

Just found this interview on Watts site, don’t remember it being posted so here it is http://hootpage.com/hoot_fogintrvw010405.html

Hope Iggy shows up at a gig…would be amazing!!! Gotta love the metallica bit…good advice do the opposite of what metallica does/suggests…too cool.

Mattmantis you are one lucky so & so, ten minutes down the street to see Mascis & The Fog god that would be amazing. Looking forward to the pics!!

Hey Beezle,

Huge thanks to you for posting that link, apparently I won 2 tickets to see Mascis on the 27th…too bad I just found out today and live a zillion miles away. Good news is I also won a copy of More Light signed by Mascis…..ahhhhh…too cool.

Again Thanks!!!!

Hey,

You guys got to hear Budge, Repulsion and The Lung all at the same show….that sounds pretty damn cool. Too bad about the poor turnout…confusing isn’t it.

If your not Stooges fans I can understand being disappointed by only 45 minutes of J/Dino stuff….but Sweet Zombie Jesus its Ron Asheton!!!! Sorry, I am just a huge Stooges fan and would love to see the whole 3 Stooges/Hellride East show a zillion times.
Ron Ashetons guitar sounds influenced our hero in a huge way…thankfully. Recently saw interview with The Fog where Watt credits The Stooges with helping him thru his illness…"Thank God for The Stooges Man"

Try this link out, 1 1/2 hr concert from New York in Feb,
http://www.dcn.com/mpr/intro.ram?rtsp://209.10.72.118/archives/j/jmascis_010206_littlebrothers.rm

only a couple of Stooges songs

Allison

ps had to steal the Sweet Zombie Jesus line from some guy called Zeke…too cool…what happened to Zeke…Stooges quote.

Hey,

Definitely nice to see a couple mentions for Husker Du….great songs!!! Have to add another Grant Hart tune, even Bob Mould had to admit that he has "a voice to die for"

You Don’t Have To Tell Me Now…Grant Hart

Hey Hickory Wind,

Definitely up for the back to back gigs, that would be amazing….definitely. Only thing is it would be even more cool to have the show in Minneapolis…cheap liquor, pretty cool record stores and only a 6 hr drive for me

Welcome to the boards!!!

Allison…a female Mascis fan who would never walk out on any part of a Mascis concert, especially the solo in Ammaring

The Rhino deal sounds pretty cool as well, boxed set would be just fine by me…anything would be actually.

Sounds like it was quite the show, 15 minute Ammaring the thought is killing me…must have been incredible!!! Amazing not only Ron Asheton but the sax player as well on the west coast…somebody PLEASE tape those shows!!!

I don’t think I could have slept for at least 3 days following that type of nite…very cool and thanks for sharing all that great info!!!

Hey,

In Watt’s recent hootpage diary for the Fog Tour he talks about beechwood sparks recording at Bob’s place. Didn’t say if Mascis played with them though, he had said he might do that….hope so.
