WHAT a gig. My ears are killing me, but it was an absolutely classic Dinosaur Jr performance. The Wagon; Just Like Heaven; Feel The Pain; Out There – awesome. Kracked and Sludgefeast were simply god-like. I think This Is All I came To Do is an amazing song live, can’t wait to hear the studio version of it. Despite the ear problems today, last night confirmed why they are my favourite band of all time.
The fact that Lou opened with an amazing, beautiful acoustic set just made the evening even more special.
J; Lou; Murph – you astound me. Thank You.
Superb photos, nice one. CAN’T WAIT until the gig tomorrow night!
Definately. J Mascis on DVD – a winner without a doubt. I’d buy it. I know a few that would too, along with the live CD. Here’s hoping.

I have a feeling that the Deep Wound vinyl I have came with some kind of insert with lyrics or pictures or something…not sure – I’ll check it out when I get home. Do I assume that Dave already has anything that was commercially available back then and is just after fans photos and the like?
Have tickets. Going with an equally J obsessed friend. ABSOLUTELY cannot wait…
One date though? Just not enough!
All,
Just had a good read of all this. I always assumed that I was the only one that didn’t really understand what Ammaring was all about. Thanks to all those contributing to the above especially Allison – your devotion to all things J continually impresses. I will be listening to Ammaring again tonight with a fresh pair of attentive ears…
Jeremiah,
Nice work fella. Thx
Jonnydubs,
Welcome. This is a VERY good web site, particularly if you’re totally into all things J / Dinisaur related. Loads of reliable up to date info, some good web links (http://www.anthony.cwctech.net/”>http://www.anthony.cwctech.net/), loadsa nice people…
Jeremiah is da man to thank.
I seem to remember a video that Dinosaur made for the Brit show SNUB TV for Freak Scene way way back, which invloved them playing the song out in a shitty little garden….was very good! You’re right though Ammaring, J + Mike + Golf based video rocks my world
Wasn’t the video for The Wagon damn good as well though – plasticine-figures-type-action???Mine is one of my fave J lyrics.. I thought loads of people used J lyrics / quotes? Next one might be one of my fave ‘J on stage’ quotes, usually said prior to playing Freak Scene : "This one’s for the kids".
Ammaring,
Nice one – effectively the first album review! I simply can’t wait – it sounds like it’s going to be everything I am hoping for "…the record picks up where More Light left off but with better production and some real killer songs" sounds EXACTLY what I need
Listened to More Light this morning on Minidisk on the way into work..JUST INCREDIBLE – I’m starting to think it’s even better than Green Mind…
J is a God.
NB : Any chance you could get your nice pal Wyndam to send me a copy of the new album?!?!?!?!
Getting a copy in a couple of weeks?
Jealous…
I’m soooo ashamed :
1st ’45 = Bucks Fizz : ‘Makin’ Your Mind Up’
1st LP = Abba : Super TrooperMade up a funny dance with my brother to Bucks Fizz – we used to dance to it in the bedroom…
Thank the Lord I found J. I went via Erasure, Transvision Vamp along the way mind, but worth it in the end
Snuff – Flibbidydibbidydob.
Great Band, great title.
This has really got me going, can’t wait to find out the answer….sad? me? never….
