You could look at the serial number (in the decal or on the neckplate). The numbers on the back of the pots are also a good indication of the production year, usually these numbers consist of 7 digits: the first 3 indicate the manufacturer of the pot, the next 2 numbers indicate the year and the last 2 the week of production. E.g. 137 7850
means CTS, 50th week of 1978.
Lots of good info on http://www.provide.net/%7Ecfh/index.htmlGood luck
BartNo problemo, you’re welcome!
The Big Cheese is a real cool pedal indeed, if only it wouldn’t cost that much…
Now and then you can find one on ebay, but they usually go for no less than 200$.
Good Luck
BartHey Marcel,
You should definately check out the Lovetone Big Cheese. Soundsamples on http://www.lovetone.com
Good luck
BartI’d like to add Mazzy Star, The Cure, Snowpony, Guided By Voices…
I truly hope that none of you or your families got hurt in this and that the terror will not escalate.
I wish you all a lot of strength and hope that you stay safe.
Peace
BartI guess it’s all a matter of taste, because for me WYB is one of the best albums ever made
and the white album… well, let’s just say I don’t really like it
Enjoy your weekend everyone
BartAfghan Whigs-Black Love, Therapy?-Troublegum
I must say though that I don’t consider Alanis Morisette, Spin Doctors, Green Day, Live… to be alt. rock
Nevertheless a nice pollThis thread is about JM/jaguar tremelo setup: http://www.fenderforum.com/fdp.html?message_area_number=25&topic_number=120086
And there’s a lot more on that site, you can browse through topics or do a search for "tremelo" or something
Good luck
BartRooster, congratulations with the JM.
I think the people in the Jaguars/Jazzmaster threads at http://www.fenderforum.com will be able to help you further
BartGuys, I’m completely with you on this. First time I heard the album, I immediately thought Same Day would make the perfect single. All The Girls would also be nice imho
Then again, I don’t really think that a lot of the younger kids are "interested" in this kind of music, so it probably won’t make a lot of difference what the new single is. Here in Belgium most of the youngsters are into the so called nu-metal. But hey, maybe it’s just me getting too old for this s*&^.
It’s funny though, I’m 25 and at The Fog’s concert in December I was one of the younger people there, while at the rare parties I go to, I’m with the older ones

Bart>Soon as I get another scanner I will do that one and the Start Choppin one
Wooooooo, thanks a bunch Jeremiah!
>I will also take you up on your offer and send some scans your way for translation!
Allright, send away
>Robert said his girlfriend may be able to help me with some of the Japanese articles so that will be cool.
You mean those articles about J’s gear and stuff? Way too cool indeed
Somebody send this man a scanner, fast!
Salamiguy, thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
>I have 2 boxes full of magazines with dino/j articles from around the world (meaning half of them I can’t even read
Jeremiah, anything in Dutch, French, German I can help you with if necesary
A while ago, a guy on ebay was selling some very interesting articles about J’s gear and playing style, with licks and pictures of his fingers and stuff. Unfortunately it was in Chinese or Japanese, so I didn’t bid on them. Does anyone know if these articles also exist in English? Would be very cool. You don’t happen to have the guitar magazines with the transcription of Feel The Pain in it, do you? If so, any chance for a scan? pleeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzz
A la proxima volta
BartCentro Matic (from Denton, Tx), last December in Gent. I thought they were really really good.

there’s lots more in Mike Watt’s tour diaries
I think you’ll have more luck with this question at alt.guitar.amp There somebody will certainly be able to answer your question, although sometimes things can get a little bit harsh over there, but don’t let that scare you.
What I can tell you about the amp: generally Marshalls from that era are regarded of as good amps. Its only been in the last 10 years or so that people are not always satisfied with new Marshall amps
Good luck
BartGot George’s playlist from the Ghent show , december last year. Was a bit dissapointed, because they didn’t sell any shirts, stickers… at that show. Didn’t see any of the guys either
Would love to have one of those picks, aspecially since I also use the heavy ones (1.3mm) -
