      fucking drunk assholes all over.

From what I have heard so far about the Kansas show, there were a lot of people who were there because there is not shit else to do in Kansas.. It doesn’t seem as if they really wanted to see a Dinosaur show. (Disclaimer: I realize this does not apply to some of the awesome diehard fans who have already made comments here.) Whether the guy on the front meant to do it or not, as someone noted, J does sing very close to the mic and if you got knocked in the mouth with it, you would instantly feel pain coupled with a quick flash of anger. It is instinctive and biological. Although J plays like God, he is still human. How is that not "professional?" I have never seen any "unprofessional" bands work as hard as dinosaur have on this tour.

The "roadies" to which you are refering are Kevin Sweeney and Kyle Spence. They are the guys who set every single piece of equipment up on stage and make sure it works so you can hear the show that you paid "nearly $30" for (You cheap bastards – It is Dinosaur for god sakes…) Just like the band, Kevin and Kyle do this every night. It is the same routine. Set eveything up and take it down in a new town each day and sometimes, in a new country or continent.

I guess if people are throwing beer at them they should stand back and laugh. Haha! How fucking hilarious..

Here is the setlist from the Memphis show at the Deli:

        Repulsion
        Gargoyle
        Kracked
        Post
        Wagon
        Forget the Swan
        Bulbs of Passion

        Raisans
        Sludgefeast

        Lung

        Heaven
        Chunks

(I missed No Bones on this show – It was played in Nashville the previous night)

There is always that guy at the show who has to do something ridiculous to ruin it for everyone else.. At the Nashville show, some kid kept getting on the stage and then jumping into the crowd. He did it about three times before he finally got kicked off the stage. (Thank you Kevin Sweeney for ameliorating the problem!) He was just standing there like a moron flailing his arms around in hopes that someone might catch him when flew on top of them..

I’m glad J was able to finish the set despite the mic in the mouth. Midwestern charm or not, that guy would have been massacred by the crowd..

My husband is a really good drummer, which I am guessing is part of the reason I notice Murph so much. He is pretty critical of any other drummer’s work. His thoughts on Murph: God

King Tubby: I agree about the just getting it out already.. I have heard at least three separate release dates for the DVD. I am guessing we have to forgive them though b/c those guys have been working their asses off touring. By the end of this whole thing, will have conquered the planet, save for those shows in the Middle East.. I am sure any DVD work takes back seat.

As far as the Avalon show goes, my husband and I drove from rural West Tennessee up to Boston to see Dinosaur live. Coming from an area where the shows are NOTHING like the shows on the East Coast, it seemed like the best show ever. I don’t have any NY experiences with which I can compare.

I did just see Dinosaur in Nashville and Memphis back to back a few days ago and the security was such a joke compared to the Avalon. It was just an overall different experience. Come to the South.. You will see what I mean.

I was hoping the Boston show at the Avalon from last July would be on there.. My husband and I were right at the front. Some drunk kept bashing my head into the guardrail. When he was finally removed, it was the best show ever. The place was packed and everyone was really excited. There was something about that night..

I remember a lot of cameras filming then and there were a lot of crowd shots. I am sure my bruised figure is somewhere on those tapes.

Yeah.. this DVD will be awesome.

At least you got to experience the sweet, deaf, ringing aftermath of a dinosaur show. I am glad you made it in okay! It was nice meeting you.

I am still shocked that this happened at the Nashville show. It just didn’t seem like that type of environment. The most hostility I encountered was from the ticket lady who made me get in the other line just so she would not have to reach over 6 inches to get to the ticket list..

Maybe if Dinosaur were to do a show in Cuba we might have to watch our backs, but Nashville is a normally very dull, very passive, very country and western tip-your-hat sort of town.

Only I have an exam the day after and when they say stop writing I think it would be best if I could hear them say it :D

I am an earplug convert. Never go to a dino show without them.

As for the ringing, I am experiencing a bit from last night’s show, but it is nothing like the usual dinosaur deafness aftermath..

I wish I could be at that show! I’ll be in Eugene around the 20th of May so I am just missing them. Have you seen dinosaur live yet on this tour?

I assume you are talking about the Memphis show tonight at Young Avenue Deli. I will be at that one too. There is going to be a MAJOR venue difference as the City Hall show last night was in a large wharehouse and Young Ave is so tiny. Interesting dichotomy for those who make it to both TN shows.

Lou is good to have around.
