I wrote to the Japanese father of our exchange student to tell him about our family.
I wrote…. my second child, a son, is Juan Carlos, he is named after his father, we call him Juanito, which means "little Juan". He is the family comedian, always making us laugh. He was diagnosed with autism when he was only two years, we love him very much and on it went a little further……………………..
but when it was translated to Japanese it came back………………………………………………. my second child boy, like father so is become challanged midget, we find this stunningly funny and laugh at him all the time. even we love him.
Oh, my Gosh, he wrote me back and said from the photos his size as well as fathers looks to be normal, I don’t understand.
LOST IN TRANSLATION
Oh my god.. You are killing me.. I actually laughed out loud at the fabulous translation! I had the same problem with some German translations I did for a class..
Ligers are only the most magical, mystical creatures known to mankind.. damn..
Okay, you asked for it!! Check out the latest blog:
http://www.myspace.com/bettedavislies
It is the most recent blog on my list.. You all are awesome
Almost forgot.. A long wig, silky warm-up jacket with arm stripes, and some purple new balance and you could be J for Halloween..
Tony – That picture is worth a thousand karma points.. Do you mind if I blog this on Myspace?? I am so happy that you got this done!
BTW – My husband bought that same hat at the Boston show last summer where we saw J in the wolf shirt. (Some kid borrowed and never gave it back.. boo..) This picture couldn’t get any better!
Good hypothesis.. I would not be surprised..
Did I mention that this is my favorite thread ever? Tonas, you have your wolf shirt, right?? I guess I am going to have to hurry and find mine. If I attend the next "Friendly Franks Flea Market" in town, I should be able to come up with something!
Oh and thanks Another Girl for pulling that old J’s wardrobe thread.. I was actually trying to remember where I saw J wearing that Wolf shirt and was at that Boston show last summer at the Avalon..
That Wolf shirt juxtaposed with the Magik Markers and a delirious crowd of Yankees vs. Red Sox fans outside the venue made for a memorable night..

If we didn’t have so many people who insisted upon stripper dancing by the stage, we might see them more often..
*Tear*
So I rummaged through the Goodwill racks today for a nice wolf shirt and there were none to be had.. Here is a list of what I did find:
"Dale Earnhardt Lives Forever" with checkered print backdrop
Buffalo on the prairie with yes, tye-dye background
Garth Brooks emblazoned against the sentiment "The Thunder Rolls" with a lightning bolt dissecting his figure from behind..
A plethora of beer shirts, primarily of the Budweiser variety
and a faded black KOOL shirt with suspicious stains..I did, however, manage to pick-up a nice rhetoric book for .50 cents and a drink offer from Ray, who gets a cut off his tab at Fat Baby’s..
Tonas and I have decided to wear "Wolf howling at the Moon" shirts in honor of J. I am sure any old biker wear would do though.. Bring on the Whales!
Hehe.. What’s even better is the fact that Murph kinda looks like Wolfman in your avatar..
Sadly, I was not overjoyed about this album.. A lot of people didn’t care for Murray Street or Sonic Nurse, but I really love both of those albums. I guess I need to go give Rather Ripped another listen. It just sounds a little dull to me..
Who can detect sarcasm on a message board?? I was so excited.. until I clicked to page 4!
They make me want to rock myself in a dark corner
