Okay.. so I am gaining Karma points for my pop culture knowledge I see..
Paula would turn to stone.
Thanks for the blog pics. I added you on myspace. I was happy to see some "Don’t" shots!

Dan was a very nice guy and he didn’t make Randy Jackson-esque comments to J like, "Yo, yo man. What’s happening my brother? That was a little pitchy."
Except for the Lou and Murph shot, each of these pics is from the Memphis show at Young Avenue Deli (April 10th) The pic of Lou and Murph on stage was taken the previous night at the Nashville show at the City Hall venue.
Dead Meadow killed me in Memphis.

I loved them.
I was thinking a t-shirt with this screenprint would make a nice present.
April 24, 2006 at 8:48 am in reply to: (Poll) Blowing It / I Live for that Look Live at the Troubad #116397I really wanted to hear "Yeah We Know" or "Budge." I, too, was surprised that these didn’t pop up more.
Wow that show sounds like an awesome way to end the US tour! Thanks for the pics davidprops.
Tom that is so beautiful!! Thank you for posting!!
Hehe.. The idea of me having a summer and winter home is so hilarious! I can’t even take care of the house I have now. I’m so not domesticated!
Southerners have a whole different concept of snowy weather. Just a few flakes and school is out for the week! We panic.
That is really hilarious about the whole Memphis/Nashville thing. You see what I mean? Memphis is like an apocalyptic world.
After the dinosaur show on the 10th of this month, my husband and I went to an IHOP down the road from the venue to try to sober up before we made the drive home to Jackson, TN. As we walked in, a guy outside asked us for some change, which is not uncommon. We were then sitting inside rehashing the night and all of a sudden this guy who had been sitting by the emergency exit busted through the door after consuming two rooty tooty fresh and fruities. The manager shouted and ran after him since the bill was left behind unpaid. When we walked out the doorto leave, we were stopped by another bum who asked us for money like the first guy. When the first guy saw this, he got mad at the second bum and they started fighting over who had the rights to our hand-out. A brawl broke-out and we left just in time. Ahhh.. this is the Memphis of my heart!
Sorry for the mixed thoughts – I was first referring to your town and then talking about the upstate NY that I love so much, mtns. etc
I’m not sure I could take the rain. It really gets me down.
I am sure Seattle is not too shabby..
I almost got eaten by a Bear in the Adirondacks and I still want to move there.

J is always walking around the venue, especially after the show. He never seems to mind signing things or taking pics. Granted, he is a quiet guy who has little to say, but this should never be mistaken for rocknrollroyalty syndrome. I am sure he would be happy to sign an album or something. What show are you going to see?
Nashville is definetly not without its faults. However, it is nowhere near as dangerous as Memphis where we were voted by Self magazine as the "Most dangerous city for women" because of the violent crime rate. Memphis is also on many top ten lists of most dangerous cities, along with Atlanta, L.A., Detroit, etc. It is unfortunate, but I love this city!
(I actually live in a much smaller town outside of Memphis where there is little crime to speak of, but Memphis is my home away from home)
In comparison, Nashville is relatively mild.
I have lived in the South my entire life and it has its merits. My dream place to live would be MA or upstate NY because we visited there last summer and I fell in love. (It was nice not being a liberal lost in a sea of red conservative values for once!)
I would not know about Cuba’s literacy rate. I can’t go there. If only I were Canadian!

I am just glad Tennessee got one show, not to mention two shows..
