I bet everyone read my ‘mudhoney experience’, that’s definatly the best show i’ve ever been to….
other great shows-
the melvins – i was in the very front row, right below kevin (bass)…it was an AWESOME showmurder city devils – i was first row behind the mosh pit (only cause i was taping ). they are one band that is AWESOME live
i saw The Who about three years ago, and it was very fun. There were a lot of old people (duh), but they sure know how to rock for a bunch o’ old men . Keith Moon their drummer is dead, but they had Ringo Starr’s son on drum’s and he was very great
Then again, Nebula’s new album is very GREAT…
Does anyone else own it here?
Tomahawk – Tomahawk….T’was released on Halloween ’01
That’s going to be one hell of a show…I wish I could make it, but I live in California

Wait a minute; the Murder City Devils broke up? And before I got to see them live, too. Ah well. Please let them not attemp to cover old swing songs with a big band and a rockabilly guitar.xo

I saw them a few nights ago, and they RULED…One of the best shows I’ve ever been to, and I have seen many great bands…I taped the show, and I saw it came out really good
They’re AMAZING live

ya see?
Courtney Love – Some call her Cuntney, wonder why….
I feel no need to explain, I am sure everyone understand why she’s on my list

Staingirl, I know what you mean.
I hate when people are like ‘I love you, i’m your biggest fan, your my entire life’ ect. When I meet "celebrities" , I try to just say ‘hello’ and see where the conversation goes from there…
One thing I try to do is not make them sound more important than me, or else you get nowhere…The second you start saying how much better they are then everyone else, they just laugh at you and walk away…(unless your going to see nsync or someone who is in it for the money, girls, ect. cause they already know theyre better then everyone, especially their fans )
When I met Mark Arm in L.A. for the first time, he was in a wig shop with Steve trying on wigs…They were joking around with each other, it was a blast…

BTW, I was going to post this in the ‘Best Concert Experience’ thread, but I figured I would create my own, and make it related to experience and or mudhoney….
Are there any other Mudhoney fans around here?

Hey Cale… sorry to hear about the 21+ venue. I hated that when I was younger! I had to miss Dinosaur Jr once for that reason. (Didn’t stop me from trying though) The more I think about their older stuff, the more I think I should go. And I’ve seen them three times in the past and they were great every time. Well… except maybe for when I saw them with Nirvana…somebody threw a shoe and it hit Gibby in the head , so they walked off before their set was finished.

Normally it doesn’t stop me either, but I doubt I will try this time…Now I have to go off topic and tell one of my stories
Last August Mudhoney was playing two dates, Aug. 30th in L.A. and Aug. 31st in San Diego (21+)…I went to the show in L.A., it was like a 3 hour drive from my house, and I met Mark Arm outside before the show…I told him I lived in San Diego and that I couldn’t attend the show the next night cause I wasnt old enough, so I had to drive up there to see them…He was very nice to me, and very apologetic…He told me to come down to the show the next night if I could make it and talk to him…So, of course I went down there and waited outside for him to get there….When he got there, I talked to him, and he sent the band members out 1 by 1 to chat with me for like 5 minutes, what a great experience, ALL of them were VERY nice guys…After Dan Peters came out and talked to me, he told me to wait and he would send Mark Arm back out for me …When Mark came out, he said ‘come on in with us’, so I went in, and it was me and mudhoney alone in the club….Mark said since I wasn’t able to attend the show that night, they were going to do a soundcheck for me….So they played one song, and then security asked me to leave, and Steve Turner was like ‘No, he’s with us’…Then they played two more songs, and talked to me in between…They asked me what I wanted them to play, and they were very cool guys…
Sorry for ranting, heh
