Good Topic,

I’ll have to get back to you on this one since nothing comes to mind. My Cd collection is upstairs and my computer is downstairs so I’m always running back and forth looking for stuff.

Seems like a lot of good conversation with this topic. I also thought about requesting the info from the label that put out More Light or from J’s press office. But, I thought for sure I would be able to find something online first …guess not.

I now remember the interview that FC listed, when AnthonyG talked to him. I almost forgot about that. When I looked at Billboard.com they have a log in as well, however I didn’t take the time to see if by being a member it would give me the info. I’m still looking into it myself. Thanks for everyones insight so far.

Sincerely, Chris

OK so let me catch up with everyone if I may. I haven’t done anything with AG since I got a message saying I had to download the newest version of the sat. I didn’t down load the new version and have done nothing since.

So does AG work at all now even with the new Sat.? If I’m wanting to spend some time trying someting what would everyone recommend at the moment, keeping in mind I want nothing to do with a "spy version", and really nothing that is going to slow me down anymore then what is necessary.

Thanks for all that respond back and your help is always welcome! Sincerely, Chris

I have a J or Dino CD in my car’s cd changer all the time it seems. So I guess I listen to him all the time. Recently I have been making mixed tapes for my car and for other people too. So I always put a few songs of J’s on them as well. Of course when you put J’s stuff on a tape and someone else listens to it they always ask you, "who is the new band"? You all know how this conversation goes. Yes I also have a tape player in my car and I make tapes for other people too. I have no access to a burner yet, but I’m working o it!

I would love to come up for this show, but I’m not sure the buget will work out another road trip.

I was once lost, but now I’m found. If anyone was curious I have been in touch with boilerman (another fan/friend also neamed Chris).

It is kind of late so all I can think of is…

Lynard Skynard – Freebird

Black Sabbath – War Pigs

What more could you want in an Epic Song?

As I have mentioned in other postings…these guys that do these interviews with J, just don’t get it do they? I laugh my ass off everytime I read a new one. I got to see Boilerman (another Chris, and also very cool) again at this show, and I also picked up a copy of the interview. As long as "the questions remain the same", J should play the same tune for them. …Get it? I couldn’t guess what it must feel like to have someone new guy in your face in a different city ask the same questions to only print the same repeated history and have the same narrow outlook as these "reporters" do.

I’m with Screaming Tree…

…let’s have all the high school news paper reporters do interviews. At least we would get to read original and well thought out questions and know that they did there homework before sitting down face to face or talking with someone over the phone for an interview.

Salamiguy,
Although I am no expert my any means, in all seriousness I would have to say yes, that your Norton update has something to do with it. As Carl. listed, I think your issue would fall under #3 a) or b) take your pick. I would have done the ctrl/alt/delete thing myself to see what may or may not have been responding.
Since Carl. seems MUCH more knowledgeable about this type of thing, unless you talk to someone that suggests otherwise and that is also not wanting to charge you aything for there effort$ if you know what I mean and I think you do. Just do as Carl. suggested and chalk it up as a hiccup, and if it does happen again, get your pen and paper ready to put down anything that happens and if you remember what you had been doing before it went BLUE.

In my case at my former employeer, the employees would never shut down the computers correctly. They would be on for days, weeks or even months and talking about memory management problem, we would have to have multipul applications and web pages open ready to use if needed at a moments notice. I haven’t gotten into the massive updates being made to the computers that we didn’t even know about to the software we used most often or if someting really had to be done it we may have gotten to new virus. Also, although we would see the blue screen happen, I never saw a system being replaced because of it or it ever being rendered unusable because it happened.

In all seriousness I hope this helped a little. If nothing else can you call your computer support to see if they may give you any insight?

Allison,
How do you find all this new stuff about J so fast, on second thought don’t answer that. I’ll just consider it one of those cool things that continues to happen in the world around me that is better left unexplained.

I love J’s quote! Wouldn’t it be funny if J would just tell these guys that do this type of "A typical" story/interview that….he is really surprised that they think it sounds a lot like his last album and that he was really going for that big warm fuzzy feeling and sound like when you listen to a Boston album.

I need some coffee

Couldn’t help but want to say something about my experiances with the Blue Screen of Death. Although I have never had the problem with my on home PC. At my former employeer… let’s just say they are the largest recordkeeper of retirement plans…401k’s, pension plans…
Someone was always getting the Blue Screen.

The really sorry thing is that after a while we would just not even call tech support, since they would never show up anyway…so it was Turn off…Turn it back on. Problem solved.

I don’t even know where to start with this one. i’m not sure I even like the idea that someone thinks you should take out of your collection albums that suck, since they all would have something you liked about it to own it in the first place.
I agree with everyone that it seems like the guy is just trying to start stuff or get hits.

Ok looks like my link to Amazon may not work, since I just tried it and got a "bug" error. Just go to Amazon.com go to music put J Mascis in as your search and it will take you to the same place. Sorry. Still just trying to help. Chris
