Damn, $16 shipping on the Jagjaguwar Deluxe pre-order. Kinda ridiculous, but I’ll probably cave anyway.
Wow, seems like they’re playing more new songs now. I hope they play Plans at the Troubadour on the second night. I love that song.
Got the CD and poster today and it is autographed!

Severed Lips sounds awesome. I really wish they would play it live.

Hi Tony,
Yep. You were. Congrats!

So stoked.

Congrats! Out of curiosity, when did you place your order?
"tonas" wrote:Uh did anyone read the fine print when ordering the album from Jagjaguwar? I pre ordered the limited edition deluxe CD and it came with a download code for the pitchfork single "I Don’t Want to Go There b/w Tarpit", the one they gave out on this short spring tour. Totally unexpected, they just gave it to me for free.In addition the first 200 who order it from Jagjaguwar get a free autographed poster with their CD. If you order after the initial 200 you still get a poster but they won’t be autographed. I hope my order falls within the first 200, how sweet is that? Oh and both the regular version and the deluxe version are selling for 11 bucks.
Anyway no one mentioned it here so I thought I would.

Thanks for the info. I preordered a deluxe version last night. First 200 or not, great deal. I do wish I preordered earlier now though.
"Rumpy" wrote:I think they’ll play more of it now, that the record is coming out officially and all that jazz…not searching for the better rip. the one I have (first leak) is not too cringeworthy, and I can wait for quality until I go to the store and get myself a physical copy of farm the day it comes out. I heard the record, it has good songs. and I will wait for its final shape to come when it gets officially released.
My theory is that they haven’t practiced the new songs enough yet to feel comfortable playing them live.

I’m going to have to agree. Awesome video.
Of course I’m going to buy it. It’s too bad they are hardly playing any of the new stuff on this tour.
Consider me blown away. Words can’t express how I feel about what I just listened to right now.
There’s a better quality rip out now. It’s pretty easy to find too. Time to give it a listen…
I’m disappointed that none of you mentioned that the leak was a poor 128kbps rip. I think I’ll wait for a better rip or for the album to get released.
September 15, 2007 at 4:22 pm in reply to: 9/11 – Seattle – Brought to you by Camel Cigarettes #131657Interesting. At the Wiltern show, my buddy and I got free tickets but no Camel employees ever tried to get us to do anything. We were outside waiting in line to buy tickets and some people just handed us tickets and that was that. With the experience I had, I would be happy if they ever sponsored any other concerts and gave me free tickets.
"ammaringnyc " wrote:The show was cool, I wish they played the lung, or it’s me but what can you do. I didn’t like the setup there though. You needed to be one of the first 200 people to get a wrist band to go in front of the stage. I ran into the guy who runs TeePee Records and he said they are going to start recording the new witch album soon, and it should be out by March. He seemed to think Dino was going to be done. But Murph and I think Bart had hinted at some more shows in November so we will see.Being at the railing just behind and above the floor in front of the stage was much better I think. Perfect view.
So my buddy and I get in line to buy tickets at the door and some people come out of nowhere and hand us some free tickets. They must have been some Camel cigarette employees or something. Great start to an amazing night. I didn’t put my earplugs in until after the third song and I’m paying for it now. Once you hear J’s guitar roar without earplugs, it’s hard to force yourself to put them in. The band sounded really great tonight. Pick Me Up was just sick and was definitely my highlight of the night.
