December 10, 2007 at 8:51 pm in reply to: 11.29.07 Knoxville, TN / are SBD recordings allowed? #132628Did anyone perhaps record this? I was there and would love a recording. sbd or not it would be awesome. i don’t think i saw anyone recording but figured i’d give it a shot. i thought the venue might want to since it was the grand opening and stuff.
i forgot, they played what if i knew somehwere in that set to.
mother fuck i wish i heard those lightning bulb and let it ride at the knoxville show. hopefully someone recorded that one. and knoxville.
heres my pictures

i was at the show and it was incredible. i think a good portion of the crowd didn’t know who they were but a lot of people did. i was up in front right in front of lou.
i don’t know the order but i remember most of the set went something like this…
bulbs…
almost ready
been there…
kracked
this is all…
pick me up
out there
feel the pain
freak scene
gargoylein a jar
just like heaveni think iam forgetting something… gargoyle i think was one of the highlights, near the end lous bass fell and he was on his knees playing it and it went on forever, which is good. i kept screaming for raisans but some drunk guy next to me was screming at the top of his lungs for in a jar and just like heaven. the show was amazing and i got all sorts of cool swag. and i got lou to sign mirror the eye. derek from awesome color gave me a free cd and poster when i bought stuff. and the drummer allison gave me a cassette and said to listen to it loud. and they all signed the poster. i loved awesome color and can’t wait to see them again on the 18th. 1220 were great also. that was probably the greatest show i have witnessed. i took many a picture.
when the people started moshing this lady in a wheel chair had to move to the back, i felt bad for her.i was at the show in knoxville, so i was out of town and without a internet connection to hear it. nuts… it was totally a great show though!

You know, I still haven’t seen Live From the Middle East yet (even though I was there), so I’ve fallen a bit behind…
the dino dvd is probably one of the coolest ones i have seen in a long time. the tom petty dvd is the best documentary ever. i love toms voice, plus all sorts of cool footage and a cd and another dvd of a concert that is pretty epic.
anyways back on topic…i have been listening to tom since i can remember. have you seen his new dvd? its pretty epic.
i hope these setlists keep getting better

i can’t explain how happy i am.i shall perhaps save up my paychecks to get one of them in the next couple of months.

thats pretty righteous, but no where near me. is there really a new album? i don’t want to get my hopes to high but sounds great.
this isn’t a very good month or so for people to die. thats kinda scary that it happened on the same day.
