I’m glad to hear some props for WAS. I always found it as a mellower album, and very strong lyrically. It sort found a niche with me.
I never can rank DJr albums. They are all close, and any given day I have a different favorite.
I remember a similar sound problem at the Pittsburgh show. There, I think the problem was the pa set up. If you stood all the way up front, you were pretty much level with the speakers to your left and right, leaving you at the mercy to whatever you were closest to on stage. I was right in front of J, so I got blasted with guitar (which was actually pretty cool), and really only heard a rumble of bass and the drum beat. If I didn’t know all the songs, I wouldnt have gotten the lyrics.
I heard that people on Lou’s side got a heavy dose of bass, but the volcals were weak all around. I tried stepping back for a little bit, and the vocals did get better, but I decided to stay up front.
I’ve heard of MVB having the same problem, and fixing it by turning thier monitors around onto the crowd.

My ears are still ringing also. And its "Modey Lemon", not moldy.
By the way, anyone know what merchandise they are putting out at the shows? I read a thread from back in the summer, and I was wondering if it changed at all for this little tour addendum. What cds are they putting out, and for how much? Is any of J or Lou’s solo stuff going to be there?
Wonder why they dont like to play "lose" or "let it ride". I can’t say that I’ll miss "They always come" though. I could never get into that song.
