Don’t know about ya’ll, but I am the King of Rock and there is none higher….
That album was a monster. Sets the precedent for everything produced in rap since. Very hard to top.

Tom… Hoping also for a Fat Boys Reunion. Need a new Human Beat Box though

Good replies, folks!

Sorry that dude was blind, Rosa Some folks don’t know to bask and ask for prayers .

Ol’ boy wanted me to track down Wesley Willis and get him to come on the show. I tried but it is pretty difficult without combing all the clubs he played at. Willis doesn’t have good info on the net to send inquiries here. If someone else has suggestions, it would be appreciated.

I have two suggestions to add on reforming Grass Mantis. I’ll let you decide who….

Salami, it is no wonder you would reply to this thread and in such a fashion. What is odd is why you no longer listen. Seems like a lot os going on there as far as people with taste.

Glad to hear you have something out that way Tony. Figured you would be pulling the Atlanta signals, though.

Would like to hear some info from the Northeast, Northwest, Cali, the Raleigh/Charlotte/Durham Triangle, always a good scene comes from there, and anyone else. For Criminey’s sake.

Mine’s pretty easy for a lot of folks, it is the chorus of "Down About It" of of the Lemonheads release "Come On Feel The Lemonheads". The quote really speaks for itself, being depressed about being wrong, going through the process of admitting one’s own part in a f-cked up sitch, fixing it and getting on with getting on. Mine changes a bit also.

I know you’re out there, you’re still a cake, it’s still the place, weren’t you invited? It’s what you can’t spare, just hide the rest and bring it right in….

Happy Birthday, Hoss!

Hey DFK,

Nice to hear you got him onboard with J and such. My ma got me turned on to rock and then my brother followed up. Tried to take bro to the Dec1 acoustic show but he crapped out. Got mom into SP and right now she has my Ear Bleeding Country car tape. heh heh !

Would like to see that thread too. I didn’t notice anything at the show other than most eveyone was friendly or on something, which if it makes you friendly, okay! Nah, I hadn’t given any thought to developing the dinodemographic, but it might be interesiing to make one.

Thanks for the link, Allison.

Favre talked really nice about the Bears in an article I read this week. Don’t think there is any question that despite the rivalry there is a great amount of respect between the two franchises.

Of course, that doesn’t always include all of the fans, coaches or players. I was sitting in front of the tube with brats and Leinie’s cherring the Packers when they won the Bowl a few years ago and was dejected when they lost the follwing year. Everyone, including my brother, thinks I am some kind of nut. Why disappoint? Still would take Favre as my one of my all time best quarterbacks, with Montana being right up there.

Walked into a local grocery/gen. merchandise store here (Meijers). Found Los Angeles, Wild Gift, and Under The Big Black Sun from X for about 12 bucks apiece.

I heard Sun before and Fouth of July but this set is incredible. Billy Zoom could do it all, fast, slow, rockabilly, sax, just an awesome musician.

Some don’t like Exene too much, but the songs she and John Doe wrote on these releases are poems set to music, punk style. Sorry, but I like them better than Patti Smith for the poetry effect. Talked to a guy at the J. show who just saw John Doe play in Chicago recently. I guess he is playing guitar now.

These discs are Rhino reissues. Between the three, there are 18 bonus tracks, mostly cuts found on the three albums in outtakes, and live. Liner notes document the band’s lives during the times each of the albums were being made.

At the same store found It’s a Shame about Ray
from the Lemonheads. Never had the full disc, glad I have it now.

Also picked up Mercury Rev "All is Dream" This is a lot different from Boces. The main difference is they sound more like an orchestra on this disc. Like on Boces they do a good job and hitting what the strive for, I think, if that makes sense.

Think that works real good as of late.
