Paradiso // 5 december 2002 /// Low
Just saw Low at Paradiso. I don;t have a cd of this band and I haven’t see them before so I’m fresh. It was a low-profile concert that lasted about one hour and three quart. It was a very intimate concert, sometimes a bit boring, sometimes exciting ( Canada). The sound was great, the audience too, quite and with patience. Imagine, tonight was the night of Sinterklaas!! Low anticipate greatly by making a nice poem about Zak, the bassplayer.. funny!!!
The bad news for me and Db was that the bar was closed during the concert;
Male and female voices were fabulous, they both did match greatly (not db/Hansione ofcourse), fantastic harmonies with a low volume. If you;d love great drumming, solos and breaks don’t go to Low, if you prefer great guitar breaks, dont go. But if you like intimate music, with great lyrics go!"Valentine Frankenstein" wrote:Interesting comparison, Grant Hart is one of my all time fav’s I will go see him every chance I get. )And Allison, what do you think: McCartney or Lennon??? I think salamy is right!
BTW I won’t bring gum…thanks for the tip

Moving from soulwax to talkingheads, from beatles to Eno. I don’t know but I luv it!

Allison :aliensmile:
ps he always takes requests

Hey Allison: I know he is a very modest and charming guy! What do you think, is he the Lennon and Bob Mould the McCartney of the USA-guitarbands?

Db, Shocking Blue / Mighty Joe was the first single Hansione ever bought. He was only 9 or 10 and so extremely in luv with mariska Veres, he had serious weddingplans with her! I saw her lately on the TV, singing jazzy songs. The voice is still there but the looks
There is enough "Veres 2002" to create at least two "1970- Veres’ "!

When I saw this stats list, I could hardly resist to create a new topic with "1000 x Hansione", modest as I am…..i didn’t.
BTW….modest as I am, I’ve just reached the status of "severed lips"

PS. I am glad that my f###ing flue is over…what a drag!
