Hey Alex! Here’s my setup when I’m playin with Cliff Barnes (http://www.cliff-barnes.cjb.net)

Fender Bassman (75W) 4×10 amp from late 70’s + Fender Bassman 100 4×12 cabinet on the other side of the stage —->Univox Pro Verb spring reverb—->Schecter strat w/lots of stickers (mostly cats, frogs, cows + stars)

      > Cry Baby wah—>Big Muff (green one)—->Boss Equalizer—>Ibanez Phaser Tone II

      >Ibanez Flanger FL-301

I tend to use the amp’s volume maxed so that’s mainly my distortion. Bassman distorts quite nicely. The EQ is for extra volume&distortion. Big Muff I use for solos mainly. Ibanez Flanger is mostly for getting rid of the audience since it can produce unholy noises. Sometimes I use cheap-ass DOD Juice Box for a milder distortion. If you got anything to ask, just mail me!

Why someone’s interested, I can’t really tell, but here’s my stuff:

Schecter strat (’83), Fender Bassman 4×10 75w with a Fender Bassman 100 4×12 cabinet. Cry-Baby wah, green Sovtek Big Muff, Boss Equalizer, Ibanez Phase-Tone II, Ibanez FL-301 Flanger, Ibanez Echo-Machine delay (the black sheep) and Univox Proverb reverb tank (yet to arrive, paid for it though…had to buy it from US since here in Finland that kinda stuff’s real rare!).

          There you are.

          Buy Cliff Barnes’ 7" EP.

          Please.

            Hey…

…try setting the distortion at 2 o’clock and the other two knobs at 3/4 o’clock. Works for me.

Last words to On My Way are in my opinion: "Love to make you feel the same way too"

Don’t put P-90´s since they’re not Jazzmaster pickups. Jazzmaster has Jazzmaster pickups; they’re bigger and flatter than P90’s. I suggest you use them.

The pedal in question would be Z-Vex Seek Wah…indeed a theremin-like wah pedal that you control without actually touching the thang. The guy who makes them is Zachary Vex.
