Been to Greece many times, most amazing history to some of the islands, rhodes old town is incredible – really beautiful. Unfortunately, parts of Rhodes (namely Faliraki) have been ruined by English tourists – please accept my apologies on behalf of my less cultured countrymen!
Never made it to mainland Greece unfortunately, but would of course love to visit Athens. Any recommendations gratefully received!

Thanks for asking though Allison, but I am fine apart from a cut and bruise on my head, and that the cops want me to go back in on Saturday (when we are playing Denmark!!??) to make a "cohesive" statement. God only knows what I said on Tuesday night.
Anyway, come on England and Ireland. Failing that, I think I’ll be supporting the US (if they go through) and Mexico – been very impressed with them so far.

Been off work watching the football – come on Ingerlund! Good work, by the US team too, hope they go marching on. Boring game today, but at least we went through – got horribly drunk for the Ireland match yesterday and ended up an almost mugging victim whilst asleep on the tube home. Got arrested whilst fighting the mugger, and locked up for the night – no justice in this country.
So the Argies are out (praise be) and the French. Have a feeling that there could be an outside winner this year, but my head still says brazil or italy.

drum sticks and plectra (guessing that is the plural of plectrum) from gigs. got loads from J, Murph, George, Lou, Jason, Eric, Eric Johnson, Sting (?!), Bob and Malkmus etc. Used to drill holes in the picks and stick them on a leather wrap. have the drum sticks in a cabinet. George’s is the most chipped that I have. What can I say, I was a weird kid.

Well, I just watched us draw with South Korea, and the main thing was that it looked damn HOT. Our players looked knackered, and I am now thinking that teams like Brazil, Argentina, Spain (maybe even Japan) have got a better chance of going the distance, being used to playing in heat.
