Haven’t seen it yet either Salami. Unlike Jaron, I am not sat constantly in front of MTV.

ITV digital (one of the digital/cable/satalite providers in the UK) has just gone into administration, meaning that I now am stuck with only five channels. No football, no films, no music. But, due to archaic legal fuckups, and true to the "rip-off Britain" philosophy, I still have to pay £50 a month. For nothing. And I can’t go to one of the competitors.

      Only in the UK folks.

Sorry about the Al, Al. But you can call me Benny, and Benny when he calls you, he will call you Al.

tell him what you really think, Dude! Any man who plays the tambourine is probable leaning on the side of uphill gardeners, but someone who actually gets turned on by this sight, is, IMHO, gay as a window.

Before I get a barage of right-on, pc responses, there is, quite clearly, nothing wrong with peculiar man love.

            NB

Everyone loses their rag except AGAP. What’s your secret, Al? How do you constantly remain the serene mediator? I guess weed must be real strong in Canada….

Christ on a fucking bike! Friday my server was down at work, today we had a power cut, I check out the boards, and we are divided in camps.

Let’s all be friends again? Sorry if I contributed to your outburst Rosa – hope you come back soon. Forgot you were a gnr fan. Was merely writing in jest. Did you have that belt buckle though <img>

I am actually a Smiths fan, but I do concur – I remember going to an old indie club when I was about 14, the Pink Toothbrush in Rayleigh, round about the time that Shoegazing broke. Everyone in there was dressing either like Robert Smith out of the Cure, or Mozza – sticky tape on their NHS rimmed glasses, weirdo quiffs and gladioli hanging out of their asses. It really scared me that people would take that shit quite so far. I guess now you’ve got the Mazza Manson type freaks, who think that they are original, but it’s kinda ironic that they think they are being individuals, when all they are doing is copying someone else.

                So….

                Smiths
                Cure
                Fields of the Nephelim
Guns and Roses (beltbuckles, give up gun, prized from cold, dead fingers etc, pretending to like Jack Daniels – for fuck’s sake these kids were like 13 years old, the only guns they had shot potato pellets, and they would fill up JD bottles with apple juice and pretend to drink them in one).
                Metallica
Def Leppard (tight black jeans, white hi-tec trainers)
                Marrillion (no explanation required)

The Royal Festival Hall in London??!!

That’s a fairly big venue. I sang there as a child – Mahler’s Third Symphony if memory serves (bimm, bamm, bimm, bamm). Just over the Thames on the South Bank. Loads of skate ramps underneath. What a weird line-up – Jim O’Rourke, Kim Gordon and Olive? Should be great.

Any other Londoners fancy meeting up for a skinfull beforehand? Also, if any out-of-towners need anywhere to stay, let me know. I’m quite safe – haven’t murdered anyone at all this year.

                    Thanks Freak

Have you heard that track? Is it good.

                    Appreciated.

Maybe Tina Turner could do a more realistic version of Hit Me Baby One More Time.

I think the bass playing on GM is incredible! Just listen to water, the bass rides the track through and is anything but secondary. Also, on Muck, the bass drives. Because he understands how the whole track sounds in his head, he is obviously going to deliver the perfect combination of sounds – that’s why I ditched my bands in the past, because drummers and bass players try to out-perform you, when a lot of the time, the beauty of bass playing is the simplicity.

Come supported Dino on the Without a Sound tour over here – their studio sound didn’t work too well live – I was really disappointed with them. Bettie Serveert were the other band – much better.

ha ha – check out Julie Birchill.

I hate that f'())*&ng Daily Mail reporting slag from hell. Self-righteous hell bitch. Terrible what she did to poor Tony Parsons. He wrote the follow up to Man and Boy about her (I think).

                            Cool find.

Also found that article on the net, but would much rather hear people’s opinions that I trust rather than some random weirdo.
