Schooly D – best ofreplacing my hip-hop vinyl collection onto CD’s – scratched the shit out of my records at clubs. Wish I’d bought two copies at the time, coz it’s pretty hard to find some of that shit. Anyone knows where to pick up any Master Ace, 3rd Bass or Kool Moe Dee on vinyl, there’s a reward in it for you.

After my previous post, just went outside for a quick smoke and thought "how in God’s name did I forget Katie Holmes??"
Was just coming back to amend, when you got there first! Have you seen her topless scene in the Gift. If not, check {{YOINK!}} – look up K, and find pictures galore.

March 15, 2002 at 10:06 am in reply to: Stupid Topic #2 – If you had to live in a bunker with one FS #68486too tough to call – you’re all damn fine people. Would worry about AGAP though, as per Malky’s comment, never said anything nasty to anyone. Wonder what sort of dark side she has??!! Also, would worry about being in a confined space with a chap called Randy Jane. And as for the two young English pups, not sure my lungs could take the smoke – I’m gettin’ on.
At least we’d all have the same (ish) tastes in music. Still haven’t found a co-habitor where we’d agree on that yet (last girlfriend I lived with was R&B stoopid). Plus we’d have a damned fine set of kit (my ovation roundback arrived today – sweeeet weekend ahead)
Would move in with you all, although have ideas about the first one I would kill and eat (lapin fricossee, anyone?)
See ya – have a great weekend.

can’t believe I have answered one of Jaron’s topics. Tried so hard to ignore it, but he just lures you in.
Hi Robert
Sorry to go off topic – your "note from the girlfriend" thing reminded me. When is she off and how are things going?
Hope all is cool.

Never really had that problem – most bands come to London <img> Also, contrary to public opinion, Europe is a pretty big place, consisting of quite a few countries and capitals that bands do sometimes play – Paris, Berlin, Oslo, Rome, Budapest, Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Gothenberg, Helsinki, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Frankfurt etc. And anyway, there are a lot better reasons to go to Amsterdam than for gigs!
Although never got to see the Philistines Jr here – have they ever played in Amsterdam. Melkweg is a really cool club/venue – would definitely recommend a visit.
what is the freakscene members sign, and where do I get one?!
This is the major problem for you Americans today….
you ain’t listening to enough show tunes! ha ha.
I just bought Murray Torkildsens (now playing with the sweeney) solo album from 1994, sex, lies and videotape. When I was a kid, my friends at school started a record label called sticky records, and signed murray, the bear quartet, mambo taxi and some others to do a compilation tape, and I wanted to hear the rest of his stuff. The tape was called "I’ll procrastinate tomorrow"
worth a listen, if you can track either Murray or the Sweeney down. Murray’s stuff is just him and a guitar either cranked up, or fairly mellow. Think David Gray but with attitude – "on the edge of a breakdown" music.
will def travel to spain if he ain’t playing closer to home. combine it with a romantic break for the lady, obviously not telling her that J is playing. Imagine her surprise when we end up at his gig after a wonderful meal for two.
"But sweetheart, how was I to know?"
Forever Changes is kinda cool, but something that always annoyed me…
what the hell is "and more again" – from "and if you see and more again, then you will know and more again".
I used to think it was "and if you see Aunt Morgan"… Think I preferred that!
