TRAVIS ARE ONE OF THE WORST FUCKING BANDS THIS DREADFUL ISLAND HAS EVER FUCKING PRODUCED. LISTEN TO THEIR WEAK ARSE LYRICS (COZ THE LOVE YOU BRING WON’T MEAN A THING, UNLESS YOU SING, SING, SING ,SING). WHAT THE FUCK.

NO MORE MENTIONING OF TRAVIS DAGNAMMIT!!!!

(did the block letters get my meaning over?)

first peel sessions were 88 and 89. Not all BBC sessions were recorded for Peel – some maybe for any of Steve Lamacq, Jo "with it" Whiley or Mark Goodier (long ago). The first time I heard J was on this first session, and then bought the jayloumurph bootleg.

kerby – Going for a song means going for not very much money (ie you only need to "sing" for it).

          See ya.

with you on that salami – how about we talk about what the songs mean to us (ie where we were when we first heard them, how they translate to us, hard times that they have meant things to us, etc), rather than what we think he meant.

EG – when I first heard Keeblin’ was on a Peel session – I was about 16 and the instrumental filled me with both despair and divine inspiration. How many tracks do that? Straight away, it was on a tape to my (at that time) ladyfriend and ever since has been a track that I go back to when I need lifting/levelling.

I have just spent the last ten minutes ranting about why I think people should not be writing about J’s lyrics, but not wanting to upset those "on a higher plane" decided against writing it.

Let’s not get to stage where we’re sucking each other’s dicks so much "one true oracle of freakscene??!!" what the fuck?

Remember, in the great words of Orwell – "all freaksceners are equal – but some are more equal than others".

Feeling angry, time to find someone smaller than me.

                              Good call on I’m allowed.

                              "waited for an answer
but I waited for 25 years"

How apt. Except the 25 years bit. Stumbleine was about the only song that I liked that she would listen to without moaning about the "fucking depressing shit that you always listen to. Got any Guru Josh"

                              Actually, maybes I’m better off??!!

two Richard James tracks in one compilation??

Sounds scary. And then a Richie Hawtin tune too? Hope I don’t bump into you in a dark alley.

Would be a great video though.

I’ll never fall in love again (or indeed anything written by Burt)
