at least you can see that i wear earplugs. first time out of seeing Mascis over 30 times that i’ve bothered.
it’s strange not feeling like i’m underwater for the next few days.

laika were absolutely awful on that tour.
and another drumstick for mine.
Tonas – tried singing that last night, she seemed to like it.
Robert – funny you should say that, as soon as i found out we were having a girl, I went to the West Ham store and bought her a pink and grey tracksuit. unfortunately i have to wait until she’s six months so that she can wear it. How well you know me. Hope you’re well pal, been a long time.
Afghan Whigs – good shout. Will try a bit of Milez iz Dead tonight.
At least someone’s willing to listen to daddy playing guitar (although the poor lamb has little choice…)
thanks all

Al Green at the Hammersmith Apollo last night.
such a beautiful, powerful voice. even the sight of 100’s of middle aged white women dancing like freaks didn’t ruin it for me.
sometimes it’s nice to hear someone sing about lurve.
covered a few Otis and Sam Cooke numbers too.
Sheer heaven.
first time i heard a dinosaur track was on a (i think) powell peralta video 18 years ago when i was 15. feel very old.
*kick flips out of the thread, smacking the shit out of shins, again*
i actually picked up a skateboard recently and tried to relive the glory days of rom skate park from my youth. my shove-it wasn’t as good as i recalled.
anyone go to this last night? Amazing set, forgot what a great album this was. Jason looked seriously ill though, very thin. Played whole album and finished off with Freed Pig (which surprised me) and then Gimme Indie Rock.
Looking forward to next thursday.

Hot Club de Paris at Royal Albert Hall. Amazing. made a complete twunt of myself after having too many beers and telling the band how great they were.
they are big minutemen fans and played a tribute to d. boon. i was the oldest person there by about 10 years, and was in full suit and tie get up, but still danced like a luniac.
unfortunately then someone from the Times interviewed me and i have no idea what i said. damn.
ok, how to put this tactfully.
