dammit. just seen this post now. missed everyone on weds and thurs. we’ll just have to make them play here again.
i can’t keep doing this to myself. hungover to shit for the second day in a row. still can’t hear anything. did they play freakscene twice last night? agree – last night was better, it was good to see lou enjoying himself. had a chat with murph (followed him up the road, felt like a stalker), got a drumstick, and had a wonderful time. only complaint – the shithole pub across the road claiming "good value food". Doesn’t serve food. Suppose it is good value then.
Must go. sick.
no pic, just a lazy piece of journalism that you come to expect from people writing about dinosaur. some drivell about "slacker king"…. sigh.
sorry, posted this in wrong place…
fuck me that was a little bit special. bad review in evening standard, but blew me away. hadn’t been to the forum since the last time i saw dinosaur jr, really reminded me of school days. went along with a mate from school who i used to go with, so really was an excellent night.when he said "this is the first time i’ve ever played this live", i just knew it was going to be little fury things. and what a version. they all seemed so tight, and although they didn’t speak to each other, I’m sure they all knew the chemistry was there. as much as i love george and mike, this was perfect, i can’t believe they got this tight with so little practise.
terrible hangover, was sick on train home – all again tonight! i can’t hear anything – word of warning, don’t stand near the speaker stacks (saying that, that’s where I’ll be again tonight)

April 13, 2005 at 3:03 pm in reply to: Stomp & Stammer.com: Time heals Deep Wound(s) Mar ’05 #108576it’s definitely fury in my mind
"bout all those that believe
all of your lies
sunlight brings the rage out
in your eyes"sounds furious to me. not furry.
i love you all deeply, but sometimes have absolutely no idea what anyone is talking about.

-x-after reading your last post…..
victoria line north from victoria to Euston, change for Northern Line north (high barnet line – IMPORTANT – the northern line splits two ways) 3 stops. nice and easy. Closer to the date I’ll PM you my mobile number.
Look forward to seeing you.
Ben
hi in utero
where you coming from? if up north i’m guessing you’ll come in to Kings Cross/Euston or St Pancras. If so, hope on the northern line up to Kentish Town – only a couple of stops.
then look for the big west ham supporting skin-head, and the beers are on me!
I’ll donate £20 towards train ticket too.
Just how far north are ya? Book your tickets now, and you’ll get them cheap (well, as cheap as English transport gets).
Thou shalt attend.
it’s things like that Flying Cloud that have kept me coming back to this site for the last 5 years.
A true Gentleman. Or lady. Couldn’t be bothered to click on profile.
We should really meet up for beers beforehand all – I’ve still never met any of you. And in the spirit of Cloud – get to London In Utero, and I’ll buy your booze.
thank God.
No need to see Billy Idol now…
Sly fuckers though, was so close to buying donnington tickets. just knew that they would play somewhere else.
See you all there.
Ben
i apologised for my outburst – due to overcrowded tube and lack of coffee first things in the morning.
someone deleted my apology by accident.
was a combo of sincerity and irony – i call in insinciroty.

Billy Idol
Maybe they could cover Rebel Yell with Lou screaming and J going nuts on wah wah guitar

yeah, us English people know shit mate. It’s not like I saw them playing tiny venues in London shit holes 15 years ago.
at least you didn’t call us "British".
