Wow, you certainly did put some work on that! Nice job. I’ll have to try it later.
I’d love your bass tab too… any Dinosaur bass tabs actually.

Probably not… The song simply has themes of loneliness, alienation, and doubt.
For what it’s worth, I think it’s one of the most underrated Dino songs. I love it! One of my favorites. Awesome lyrics.

I really hope the guys come to Las Vegas…. I’d love to see them.

J has said that the "Fury" in it means that the girl he’s talking about is obviously very intense and "Fury". However, every time I have heard him introduce the song, he always calls it "Little Furry Things". That’s what I always call it myself.

Blowin’ It is amazing. I Live For That Look is a stone killer as well. And of course The Wagon is a masterpiece in J’s library.
And yes, Turnip Farm and Forget It are on the reissue. Both are really good songs!

Funny enough, YLAOM was the first one I owned and became obsessed with. I was 14, it was the summer of 2005. I had just spent some time with my family in Tampa, and there my older brother showed me them playing The Lung on the Late Late Show and burned me YLAOM. I came home July 15th, and decided to listen it with my twin brother. And I was blown away. I became fixated on that record. It still stands as my second favorite LP ever.
Then I bought Bug and Where You Been? sometime later after I started hearing more and more of their stuff. Dinosaur was my favorite from the stuff I had been listening to. Finally I got more and more of their releases, and my two favorites are YLAOM and Dinosaur. And I agree Curbdogma, Green Mind is a really unique Dinosaur Jr album. He never did songs like I Live For That Look, Water, How’d You Pin That One On Me, etc ever again. Total shame, I love that album!

"If I made an opinion, I don’t know how it can be wrong."
I was being sarcastic.

Kracked, I’m glad to hear about your new liking to Without a Sound. I still stand that that is the most underrated Dinosaur Jr album. I still think Green Mind should get talked about more.
~Jeremy~
Dude, I’m not saying your opinion is wrong, but Dinosaur is way better than Bug!

Dinosaur produced classics that the band rarely plays now…. That’s my second favorite Dinosaur Jr record behind YLAOM of course. Both flawless albums.
~Jeremy~
I do too. I mean, Bug isn’t a bad album by any means, but comparing it to Dinosaur or YLAOM is just plain silly.
The problem with Bug is that the quality is dropped. Compare songs like Tarpit and Bulbs of Passion to Yeah We Know. In addition, even though they aren’t bad songs, Budge and Pond Song are my two least favorite JLouMurph Dinosaur Jr songs. Why people love Budge amazes me.
But Let It Ride is probably my favorite. I also love No Bones. And of course you have to love Freakscene. And I think The Post is one of the most underrated Dinosaur Jr songs.
Sorry for the rant guys.
~Jeremy~
kracked, I’d love to see the live video of Loaded. I like that song. And I also like Alone, though I think songs like Don’t and Turnip Farm are better.
Most Dinosaur Jr songs with Lou used a distorted bass.. Let It Ride anyone?
~Jeremy~
Other than that line I’ve never really been able to decipher the lyrics…. haha.

~Jeremy~
I think Dinosaur is near flawless. I can’t really think of anything wrong with it. In my non biased opinion, every song on their is amazing, and has something special.
A lot of people shit on Cats in a Bowl, but I love that song, especially the bridge. A lot of people dislike Pointless but I like it actually.
Regarding Without a Sound, that album is very underrated. It might be my second favorite post-Lou album behind Green Mind. Songs like Grab It, Even You, I Don’t Think So, Over Your Shoulder, and a few others are some of my favorite songs from J. On the contrary, I don’t really like Hand It Over at all aside from a few songs.
Back to the topic, I can’t believe I forgot to mention the Quest bass line. That’s genius right there.
Also regarding the topic, does anybody here like the different arrangement of Quest live more than the studio version? Where the bass goes for a few seconds before J enters?
~Jeremy~
Awesome! Good choice for the single. Back to Your Heart would have been pretty badass as well.
I wonder if this means they’ll play Crumble on their Conan appearance?
~Jeremy~
Quest has always been one of my favorite songs. I wish they’d play it more.
The chords and the lyrics are awesome. "I love the caterpillars munching on the leaves, pitter patter makes me forget my disease, bugs have feelers just like me, and I’m feeling oh so lonely".
