You might like Amherst, it’s in the middle of nowhere. I visited J a while back and we had lunch in his backyard, I think it may have been his parent’s house. I went with David Michael Curry.

Tim Foljahn’s voice is deep, warm and slow and reminds me of Townes Van Zandt’s voice and guitar style. It’s nearly a solo record except for Chris Brokaw also on guitar and Steve Shelley on a few tracks. There’s also a nice synthesizer to build in atmosphere. There’s no bass. I also met Thalia Zedek not too long ago. She looks old and in bad shape. She couldn’t even talk coherently, sort of like Ozzy :(

Yeah the show sucked, but I was really there to see Thurston in person.

I live in Milton, MA. for the guy above who wanted to know where I was from. Hmmm lets see, I play the guitar and drums and I am a sophomore at UMASS Boston majoring in psychology and minoring in Spanish.

Yes I’m a big fan of Thalia Zedek. Saw her last week at P.A.’s in Somerville, MA. Her band is excellent. My real name is Mike but my username is taken from a short horror story I wrote entitled "Lucrife’s Benary" an amalgram for "Lucifer’s Nearby". The story is somewhat inspired by Sheridan Le Fanu’s story "The Child That Went With The Fairies." SLF was a late nineteenth century horror/fantasy writer from Ireland probably best known for his vampire story "Carmilla" which later inspired Dracula.

I was at that show. I was standing behind the young girl who was right in front of J. Awesome show. I recently saw Thalia Zedek at P.A.’s Lounge in Somerville and got my picture taken with her along with the bassist taken by David Michael Curry, the incredible viola player.

Okay here’s a tougher one. "Zen Arcade" or "New Day Rising"?

                              I say Zen Arcade

thanks Bob. But It’s not Masci it’s Mascis. Strange name indeed.
