Wow, looks like you’ve got some music to check up on…

Bob Mould == Husker Du, Sugar

      D. Boon == Minutemen (Mike Watt’s legendary old band.)

Ira Kaplan == Yo La Tengo

All very good stuff… You should check it out.

Ya know, Jaron.. You said in another post that Jeremiah has an interesting relationship with shit. To paraphrase, "he knows his shit and he don’t take shit from no one."

I see now that you also have an interesting relationship with shit… In that you seem to have an endless supply of it!!!

Seriously, I gotta agree with Salamiguy, that you need to quit worrying about what others think of you. People see right through that kind of stuff, and it really doesn’t help when you make it obvious like this. You’ve shown yourself to be very a very clever person in the past, I’d like to see that side of you come around again…

Anyway, in order to keep all of this shit from stinking up the forums, I once again have to call on a most appropriate smiley…

So… Exactly how many people at this forum spend their time scratching at the door to the mod forum, hoping to get in?

Don’t forget experimental hair-care products..! We discuss those a lot too.

Such as a shampoo w/ nanobots that keep your hair P-E-R-F-E-C-T for up to four days…

Oh, and I guarentee that if J wants into the mod forum, he’d get in pronto…

So now I have a couple of questions for you Jaron:

                    a) Why do you waste your time worrying about such things?

                    b) Why do yo waste our time telling us that you waste your time worrying about such things?

The reissues are supposedly identical to the vintage until something goes wrong. Then they’re more difficult/expensive to repair. The difference is that they use the same circuit design, but the reissues use a printed circuit board, which has to be completely replaced if any of the components on it fail. The vintage ones used direct point-to-point wiring (with real wires ) and if something fail, it could just be popped out and a new one soldered in.

I haven’t really tried out any reissues myself. The best thing to do would be to read up on people’s accounts with the amps your looking at. The reissues may be harder to repair, but that doesn’t mean anything’s gonna go wrong. It could last for years with no trouble at all.

I recommend you browse the user reviews at Harmony-Central I’ve found them to be very helpful in the past.

And, of course, keep an eye out for that perfect deal in that small pawn shop on the other side of town… You never know…

I don’t know if you’re set on a Mashall or not, but I highly recomend an old Fender Deluxe Reverb if you can find one. They’re often priced at around what you’re willing to spend.

They’re pretty light compared to other amps. Not as loud, but loud enough for a small club. And they sound soooo sweet!

I have one from ’68. and I’m never gonna give it up.

I wouldn’t buy one made any later than ’69 though, Fender started making some changes. They’re louder, but don’t sound as good…

I don’t want to go in as your account. Besides, if your following instructions, I don’t see how I could magically make it work.

                          OK, here’s another shot…

                          Goin Home

I’ve stripped every little thing I could out of this file. I forgot to turn off the reverb on that track, and I also took out the track name just in case.

If it still doesn’t work, try to get me a copy of the instructions for the service (just do a copy/paste thing…

                            OK, let’s try again…

                            Goin Home

It’s 33 notes, w/ no overlapping notes. One track. It should work… I haven’t been able to check out the utility on the web page because they want me to sign up for an account, which I don’t really want to do.

If Goin Home doesn’t work, give me a listing of any error messages it gives you.

I have Radiohead’s first three (that I know of) albums. Pablo Honey, The Bends, and OK Computer. I really like the first two. They’re just basic, good, rock music. But OK Computer, didn’t impress me that much, even though a lot of people thought it was the greatest thing ever bestowed upon the human race.

I haven’t bothered with Kid-A or Amnesiac yet, so I’ll have to withhold my judgement for now, but I’m not chomping at the bit to get them.

Maybe if I find them in the cheap bin one day…

                                (Sorry, inside moderator joke. )

They seem to be an "either you love them or hate them type of band." I haven’t known many people who were in the middle about them. Personally, I love them, but to each their own…

Never got the Built to Spill thing though. They don’t sound that much alike to me…
