Some people just don’t get it… In life that is. Sure, they’re fine upstanding, good people, they just don’t get ‘it’. They think that music has to fit a certain format or else it defaults to ‘suck’ (the current format seems to be Pearl Jam-esc [img]images/smiles/converted/cwm8.gif[/img] )
As far as Modest Mouse goes, I’m partial to ‘Lonesome Crowded West.’ But now I’ve caused you a delima, sappy… Which to by first??? Well, they’re both great, so either way, I doubt you’ll be dissappointed… [img]images/smiles/converted/wink.gif[/img] [img]images/smiles/converted/biggrin.gif[/img]
Uh, actually Jeremiah, I have long hair in all those pics. I just tend to keep it tied back… Post haircut pics are still sitting in the camera…
Yeah my view was pretty good, not up front though. Couple of jerks bullied their way in front of me, didn’t feel like making war so I just let it slide and enjoyed the show. Most of those pics were taken using the ‘hold the camera over your head, point, shoot, hope’ method. Nah! She’s got a boyfriend… Carrie’s one of my best friends, inner circle in the cult of Mattman. Besides, her BF never leaves the house, so it’s up to me to get her away from things…

I hear ya on the solo thing, eggwater. I went to this party awhile back and there were a couple of guitars there and this guy picks up one of them and starts playing along with some trendy pop song playing on the radio. I picked up the other guitar and started soloing over it and the guy turns to me and says ‘hey, that’s not how the song goes, you’re not playing it right..’ [img]images/smiles/converted/rolleyes.gif[/img] What a dork…

As far as solos go, I don’t tab them, because I don’t bother to figure them out. I improv all my solos (as does J it seems.) However, I’m always willing to except donations, if you want to contribute, let me know and I’ll be sure to give you full credit if I decide to use your stuff…

Between jobs, got a guarenteed position at a local music (instruments) store if I want it, but I’m looking for something more career wise, so it’s time to switch to interview mode. [img]images/smiles/converted/wink.gif[/img]
