Well, it was indeed a good birthday!
I got some really cool loot… a very nice leather jacket from my folks (I’ve never really considered myself a leather jacket kind of person, but it is really nice… I’ll probably tend to wear it to work and family occasions more than say, a punk rock show.
)My sister gave me some scooby doo PJ pants… I’m still not sure what inspired that one, but they are very comfortable.
..but I think that the coolest present came from my friend James (the singer in my band). He gave me a copy of the Sonic Youth DVD, Corporate Ghosts, with all the videos on it… I was rocking out to that one last night! He also gave me a copy of the book "Lost Horizon". :aliensmile:
We had some band practice on the afternoon of my birthday… which was, sadly, the first time in like three weeks… We gotta get back in gear… and we’re once again looking for a bass player.
That night we went to go see a local band called "The Ums"… I’ve heard of them before (James is friends with them), but this was the first time I’d actually seen them… Holy Smack-in-the-face were they awesome!!! Sort of a classic rock vibe, but with some cool twists… They even traded instruments on several songs. Very talented! The drummer even gave me a birthday shout out which got me some applaudes, so that was very cool!
So, I’m gonna have to say that it was a pretty cool birthday! :aliensmile:

Well, I’m off for some birthday band practice, and then plenty of partying tonight!

You know, Allison, I wonder if all the people checking out Canada have a case of grass-is-always-greener-on-the-other-side disease… I doubt many of them have really bothered to check out the things you’ve mentioned. Every country’s going to have its problems, so it’s a trade up either way…
The way I see it anyway, is that all of these people who are threatening to leave on acount of Bush winning the election are running away from their problems instead of trying to face them… If these same people would speak out, write their congressmen, and otherwise quit sitting idly by while the current administration sells our rights and freedoms to the highest bidder, something might actually get done about it.
That’s my $.02USD anyway… :aliensmile:

It was a very awesome party… Many very cool costumes!
I like the Shrek one, well, because that was the dudes real belly in there.
…but I think my favorite was the Exorcist couple… Very creepy, and very well done. The guy isn’t really grey, nor as old as he looks in the pictures, and his wife is just super creepy looking (the height difference between the two is pretty funny though!)
As for me, I really just threw my costume together from old, leftover stuff. Next year I already have something much better in mind, but it’s gonna take some work…
I stepped outside a little while ago and peeked at it… Pretty cool!
I wonder if this means that the vampires are out tonight?

We’ve had this problem at work, and while it’s caused by the virus, it doesn’t mean that you actually have it. It’s your PC responding to an attack.
If you have the same thing, there should be a critical update to solve the problem…
