Didn’t those idiots learn anything from David Lee Roth? Only a sucker cops weed in WSP!

At least now he sometimes says SOMETHING. Back in ’88 he used to play a taped "thank you thank you thank you…" after the songs!

Where is it?
The show is speeding up because everytime they play they get tighter and the songs get faster and the set gets shorter.

They were signed by the person who made them, not the band, if that’s your question. Gettting them to sign it is up to you. It’s easy, though.
They were selling Cat’s Cradle posters at shows other than the Cat’s Cradle? Not the different places?
A GBH reference! I used to party with them everytime they hit NYC! Now I have to fish that album out.

I wish all of you could have been there. I wish I could follow them around and see every show! The way the set lists are shuffled, songs coming and going, I want to see them all! Yeah We Know and Let It Ride among many. (I have always loved the "sweet harmonies" on those songs).
I want to mention the actual performance. They are obviously having fun. They attack their instruments, just like the old days, but better. Lou, who I have always considered one of the best bassists EVER really goes nuts. Seriously, who has ever come up with sicker bass lines than Lou? I loved his dead pan "this is from our first (etc) album" intros to songs. J crushes you. He is a one man orchestra. Somewhere, Frank Zappa is smiling. Murph? My only description could be UNBELIEVABLE. He has always been like a controlled Keith Moon, and he shows that now. My absolute favorite song of the night was Budge. It’s a song I used to LOVE 17 years ago. It (and all the others) took me right back to 1988 at the Ritz, NYC (but better!). Listen to it. The interplay between the guitar, bass and drums and the great harmonies. It’s a monster.
I love the BBQ reference on the setlist. The show poster was a numbered screen print (120 made). Do they have these at every show? After I bought mine, I handed it to my wife and sent her to get it signed backstage (I was too chicken). She came back five minutes later and said to come back with her, J said it was cool. During the time I wasn’t there, she told J it was the "third best show" that she had seen, and that she was more of a Fog fan. He asked who was better. She said the Stooges reunion and Steely Dan at Roseland. He said that he thought that those were great shows, too. I can’t believe we forgot the camera. I wanted to get a couple of shirts, but they were out of XL. Bummer. I asked Lou about Sebadoh III and he said it and others will be reissued.

That is a great article. It really says everything about why I love the band.
Thanks for the info! I’m gonna go see it in Asheville, NC on the 30th! I can’t wait. I loved the Minutemen.
Murph is the best. George Hurley is close, followed by the great Jet Black.
There is no BOY HOWDY beer. It was just a joke that CREEM had to get bands to pose for their ‘zine!
I have every CREEM issue from 1974- 1983. Best ‘zine ever. Let’s hope they can get the magic back, but most music sucks today, so it’s doubtful.
Let’s just hope they get through the tour without killing each other before we think about a new recording.
Mine came UPS today! I knew it would sell out! I’m glad I ordered them early.
