I like that they playe “Yeah We Know” It’s been a long time favorite of mine and I finally got to hear them play it at the 9:30 Club show. Glad they’re keeping it on the set list!

(I’ve seen) That’s a fair list for what Dinosaur Jr. is. I wish they would play a 2 – 21/2 hour set. We would see more songs then. I’d be happy just seeing Dino. their opening acts never get me excited.
@nosaj56 I liked it from the beginning, but I like it even more after the 15th listen like you said. I even like Farm more now that I’ve gone back to revisit it. But yeah, IBOS is a really good album, I’m lovin’ it!
@empire2 – I don’t know why. I have two Vinyl copies with the purple press on the way, that makes three. Two CD copies, the advances digital copy. All these multiple purchases alone should have Dinosaur Jr. #1 world wide! That’s ok though, I’m not opening any of these copies and when J Mascis dies, they’re going to be worth a fortune! ; )
Got my huge budle with signed poster, I love it! The hat and everything is cool, especially the hat! It did not come with purple vinyl. Tonas you really hit the jackpot! Hope everyone is enjoy theirs. Did I mention I’m really lovin’ this album?
@Alysspunkette That’s a good question. I’m the kind of fan that finds no wrong with Dinosaur Jr’s music, but I will pair it down to Green Mind and Where You Been and just go with Green Mind. The reason is because it was the first album of Dinosaur I ever owned. I was turned on to them after hearing “Freakscene” on a skate video. I was 13 and living in Germany at the time. Green Mind was the only full album available then. It wasn’t until I was fifteen and moved back to the states that I was able to learn about and purchase older Dinosaur music. Green Mind holds a lot of good adolescent memories for me and I listened to it all the time. I remembered they played in Hamburg in 1991 and I wanted to go so bad, but I was too young to take the train. I believe The Year Punk Broke Video shows clips of that show. I’d love to see the whole concert. It must exist somewhere.
Tonas, Maybe you where the very first to place your order. I’m gonna have to go out and find this thing. Still crossing my fingers that it will come with the Huge bundle from their website!
I got my deluxe package from Jagjaguwaur today! No purple vinyl : ( I hope I get the purple vinyl with the huge crazy package with the signed poster. I received an email from Colortest Merchandise who I’m guessing is sending the package. Should be here soon!
Received the shipping notice yesterday from Jagjaguar, has not arrived yet. Maybe it’ll be there when I get home. I’m really looking forward to the bundle with the signed posted. Haven’t heard anything from them. I’m not worried about it. I got the download two weeks ago, I’m lovin’ it!
September 18, 2012 at 10:20 am in reply to: Dinosaur Jr performing “Watch The Corners” for the first time live #139513That is so fricken cool! I can’t wait to see them next month!
Welcome! You’re never too late to the game, but arrive exactly when you’re supposed to. I’m a 35 years 22 year Dinosaur fan. I was about 13 when Dinosaur first rocked my world. I’ve had my ups and downs, but I’m here. Saw them first at Lollapalooza 1993.
It’s great to have you here, stick around and enjoy the show!
Matthoney are we the same person? I feel the same way about Farm. I’m sure you love songs like “Get Ovet It” and “I Don’t Wanna Go There”, but a few others songs sound a like their on autopilot like you said. Still good though.
I did notice the rewrite of “Turnip Farm” and “Set Us Free”. “Don’t Pretend You Didn’t Know” reminds me of a Cure song called, “From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea” : )
I just like that this album is a lot more upbeat than Farm. Like I said before I can’t wait to get the other unreleased tracks, should be good!
