You learn something new every day. I have Quest and that has a lot of neat stickers, but I never knew there was anything special about “Out There” I will have to check it out!
That’d be worth it for vinyl, but you can still get a decent price on EBAY.
Awesome show! “Bug” sounds really great. I was right in front of J and he was flawless. Just love watching him play. I can only imagine what it was like 20+ years ago putting those songs together, even though it was a tumultuous time. In the interview part you get the sense that Lou and Murph were trying to keep up with J who had some serious musical chops from an early age. That’s a humble thing to admit. J is a world class guitarist and it has always shown. This was a neat show to see. Hopefully next time they’ll do “Dinosaur” & “YLAOM” in its entirety. If they have to drop an opening act so be it, they don’t need it.
Although it’d be great to have more submissions, it would have been nice if this would have come out about two months ago. I’m not good at this stuff, I’ve never posted a video on the web. I would have gone for something like this though with a lot more time. I was away this past weekend on top of everything.
I love this song! Unfortunately I can’t help with the chords. I’ve never sat down to try and figure them out.
Hi Nick!
This is right up my alley, I’ll be picking up a copy ASAP. It’s funny though, all this time I though it was TAB of the album. I’ll pay more attention from here on out. Can’t wait to see these guys in about 2 weeks!
I’ve never downloaded an MP3 or bought music from itunes. I recently bought an ipod and was curious, if I buy the MP3’s will I be able to share them with itunes?
Yeah, that one is cool actually. I wish I would have picked it up a couple of years ago because stores are asking around $75.00 now. Not a bad price, but I’ve got my money in guitars at the moment. But yeah, exactly like that. Those are J’s guitar, their at his house. I’ve seen the video and read about them meeting with J. I do need to pick up that deck.
That’s pretty cool, thanks for the heads up. I like it, but I’d be more interested in a deck with J on it with his guitars. I’m a casual skater and not in need of a deck for use right now, but this one could be saved for later.
It’s the first two Edogg. It appears that ‘YLAOM’ was such a great success that even this obscure 70’s band took notice and that’s when they got sued and changed their name. ‘YLAOM’ was released in 87′ but I’m not sure if the ‘Jr’ was added in 87′, 88′ or 89′. But for sure by the release of ‘Bug’ in 89′ the name had already been changed.
Another question where the albums from the 90’s released on vinyl from the US. I am mostly finding copies from Germany. What should I be looking for?
Thanks Jeremiah. The announcement came out yesterday, there is no release date, but it comes out in the fall sometime with commentary by Thurston Moore and Dave Markey. Exrtas contain footage of Sonic Youth and Nirvana also a panel discussion which include J.
At this point I a blu-ray file, but I doubt this video would merit the treatment. It took long enough for it to come out on dvd!
You meet him again next time and take your picture WITH him…
Cool pics! How was the show?
Sonnylp, that was awesome!
