I think the line is – “They always come and tease…” Good job on the tabs

Back into the hands of a pure fan. Justice is served. I am the swordmaster!!
Love it but the saddle buzzes alot!
That is totally awesome! Wish I knew it was on Ebay! How much did you get it for?
I remember when this came out! I think it was the fall of 1993 on the Arsenio Hall show. If that’s the one then you have Mike D from the Beastie Boys on Drums. Murph must have headed out by then and George Bertz hadn’t joined yet.
Yeah he plays golf. He talked a little bit about it when this video first came out. He’s also into skiing too! Man that guy’s a Renaissance Man!
January 22, 2010 at 10:42 am in reply to: Melodic noise that bristles – montrealgazette.com interview #137261Well if any band were to make a reunion and have it be a success I’m glad its Dinosaur. It’s not hard for me to understand though. J has been making good music all along….ALL ALONG. So why would it surprise anyone that J leading a band would turn out so good. I guess the real question comes in regarding Lou, his songs are good too. I hope they keep touring and come out with yet another album. If the songs are there put ’em out! If not just wait until they come!
January 22, 2010 at 10:38 am in reply to: Who’s version of "Just Like Heaven" is the best? Vote here #135937I don’t think Dinosaur set out to make a better version of "Just Like Heaven" They like The Cure and decided to punk it out a bit. I had to vote for The Cure. I started out a Cure fan and knew nothing of the relation they had with Dino. I rarely listen to The Cure nowadays and love Dinosaur much more, but The Cure gets the vote on this one. What a great song!
Cool thanks for the heads up. Farm was pretty good for a follow up to the best band there ever was reunion album.
Way to go Sweeney!
Sheesh, I play guitar, but I don’t think I could open up a guitar and feel like I could really ‘fix’ the thing with a soldering kit and I’m pretty mechanical just not so ‘electrical.’
Ugh! I love ‘Set us Free’! I sure wouldn’t mind a J Mascis and the Fog tour!
Oh! Nice touch with the flute too!
Is J singing, playing guitar or drums?
December 1, 2009 at 9:07 am in reply to: Fender is giving away an autographed J Mascis Jazzmaster #137019Thanks for posting this! I totally registered and I hope I win! I really hope a fan and guitar player wins this though. A lot of people enter contests just to win stuff and sell it on EBAY.
I had a 1995 reissue Jazzmaster. I sold it six years ago. The strings didn’t fall off the saddles, but it sure was an involved process keeping it set up. The screws would move constantly changing the height. If I won this, I would cherish it and totally play it!
Ugh! I yelled, "Play The Leper" a couple times between songs in Philly. You’re so lucky!
Very cool! I love the sound on ‘Where You Been’ ! I often wish that ‘Green Mind’ sounded as clean and big as it does. The recording on ‘Farm’ is a bit meh to me and I don’t necessarily blame John Agnello, I’m sure the band wanted it to sound that way. There are a lot of great songs on there they just sound subdued and even a tinge dark. I like the bright big sound better, but that’s just me.
Be prepared for a good show! They are really tight this time around. Seeing the shows you’ve been to reminds me of some I went to and some I wasn’t able to attend like the one in 3/03, it was at Hammerjacks in Baltimore and was 18 and over. I was 15 at the time. However, I did get to see them at Lollapalooza the summer of ’93 in Charleston, WV. after that I saw them every time they came to Baltimore from 94-97. I didn’t see them until last week at Philadelphia, though I had see J a couple of time for the solo acoustic tours. So have fun, bring a date and wear ear plugs, you’ll have a great time!
