Here is my top ten this week. i gotta say being a fan all these years i have never hated any of j’s songs!(ps: Green mind dont suck, u do rich)MY TOP TEN: 1)out there

When i went to see J do his recent acoustic gig in London at the Underworld he had 2 acoustics with him, and 1 was a small parlour type acoustic which i think was a Gibson, I couldn’t be 100% certain though. A nice guitar nevertheless. Hope that helps a little..
I’m not the biggest fan of Green Mind myself (it seems too nervous for me to really get in to), but I wonder why any Dinosaur Jr. fan would not like "Water". The guitar, the lyrics, J’s vocals – in my view, it comes close to perfection.
And I think "How’d you pin that one on me" is really cool, especially because you can hear J say "for the kids" in the first seconds of the song. [img]http://www.freakscene.net/ubb/smilies/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I firmly stand by my decision that green mind sucks, i only liked Thumb and Green Mind on the whole album, Its a good album but not compared to the rest of J’s stuff

You should get some Seymore Duncan Jazzmaster replacement pick ups and put them on your mexican Strat!
Get THREE of them. They are supposidly "Hum canceling." So you would get two bridge and one neck or two neck and one bridge. You can get them in three models: Vintage, Hot wound, and quarter pounder. Maybe get one and try it. They cost about $55.00. Folks get a Japanese jazzmaster and replace the stock pick ups as they are said to be a little weak. I have read on Jazzmaster forums that folks get a Vintage for the neck and a hot wound for the bridge.
I got one and have been fooling around with it. I like the sound.
But you will have to order pick-up covers as they don’t come with the pick-up. And maybe you will have problems attaching it….
What I am doing is I bought a cheap old 63 Harmony jazzmaster look alike (or a mini Jazzmaster… A Jizzcaster.) I plan to put the replacement pic-ups on it. It has it’s own unique (vintage?) Harmoney pick-up and it’s own sound but I am bored with it.
The vintage Jazzmaster pick-up is not quite as hot as the Harmoney pick-ups. but I want to make a new pick guard for it so I have to take it apart anyway.

the idea of recreating an old big muff is a very good one..let us know how u get along as i’m a fellow resident of the uk and would be very interested in the custom pedals you’ve mentioned…I wish i could make my own pedals!!
