jeremiahThanks, good find!
J. Mascis Thursday 22nd at 4pm
Four years on from the disbandment of seminal indie rockers DINOSAUR JR., and MASCIS has given light to an album that could easily be the BEST piece of work he’s mastered since the brilliant GREEN MIND. Former frontman for Dinosaur Jr and now leading J. Mascis and The Fog heads to radioundercover.com to chat with with live on Yahoo followed by a live video webcast interview at 4.30pm

jeremiahHey JCrumblecookies,
That was an awesome documentary on the Crumb family…agree with the Mascis moments with the interviews etc….now just to find the tape you think I would learn to label things but no..god. Cool spin on the relationship issues presented by Mascis, love the taylor/burton mix…doesn’t get much better than that. Actually just saw that film on late nite tv a few weeks back never get tired of that one. Suddenly Last Summer was a pretty powerful film as well, Taylors screaming on the hill could break glass. Wicked film, check it out if you haven’t yet.
I just ordered a DVD copy of Tim Burtons Nightmare Before Christmas….so excited because it includes his short animated story called Vincent!!! Narrated by Vincent Price, early work by Tim Burton can’t get enough of that.
Allison
Hey,
Antipop was right you got a fair bit of air time….pretty cool. Looking forward to the debut of Absolutely No Crap All Mascis radio…on your way to world domination r/t Mascis info on the net. Thanks for the show…absolutely cool!!
Allison
Hey Alison, yes indeedy, you’ve got the right Crumb family : R., Maxon, Charles. Filmed by R.’s friend Terry Zwigoff, the documentary is maybe #2 on my personal all-time fave-films list. (And for Dino fans,it’s not a stretch to say that there are many, many "Mascis moments" throughout.) As a psychological portrait of an artist, Crumb can’t be beat.
How about "Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf?" with Burton/Taylor as a nice film corollary to the Dino take on relationships? A little extreme, maybe, but not far off…
"How perfectly goddam delightful it all is, to be sure." –Charles C.The only way I can get it to work @ work is to use Windows Media Player or the Live365 Player.
Windows Media Player is generally firewall friendly because it shares the IE settings to connect to the web.
Have you tried those?

jeremiahHey,
God I was just joking, never thought it would happen….very cool!!! The definitive No Crap Radio. I kept missing unwrittenjar on napster even with the bit from napigator.
Always a Real Cool Time coming to this site,
Allison
ps DFK good luck working out the firewall deal
Hope this wasn’t already mentioned:
For those who don’t know J even has contributed some backing vocals to the 1990 Goo album.
J says in the Fritz interview he doesn’t know if there is a relation between him and Teen Age Riot, but I guess it definitely exists.Lars
I like Ozzy as well, but he should invite better bands to the ozzfest, coz there are always terrible bands like coal chamber, celofine, powerman 5000?? sucks..
I’d like to see real metal bands like IN FLAMES, HAMMERFALL, MEGADETH, among others.I think SEPULTURA and SLAYER are just fine, not to mention OZZY, who amazes me every time.
"At the end, I went to jail & got executed just because I didn’t cried at my mother’s funeral."
Albert Camususe flash if the club lets you and you are using a slower speed of film.
I suggest getting 800 speed film (if you camera allows you to make speed adjustments) because it requires less light.
Get up close and good luck.

jeremiahheh? No one’s listed "Beauty of the Ride"… That too, is an excellent song…
"If you can’t pay money… At least pay attention!" – My DadHey Sickboy,
You will definitely love Shadow of the Vampire, Willem Dafoe nominated for academy award for that one. Still can’t believe he did a movie with madonna…god.
Recently saw a video called Animal Factory (or Animal Instinct can’t remember right now..not enuf sleep ahhhh), Dafoe plays a very cool tuff guy inmate, great parts by Mickey Rourke and various other great movie bad guys.Read something about Tim Burton doing a remake of Willi Wonka with Marilyn Manson in the starring role…yikes.
Anyone influenced by Tarrantino is just fine by me, thanks for the info.
Allison
All Mascis, all day – I really like the way you think, Allison! In my search for a decent station, that actually entered my mind, too. There used to be a Beck radio show on the net (I don’t think it was 24-7), but I think it went down a while back. Jeremiah – what would someone need to do all Mascis, all day?
Hey DFK,
If your a fan of Bob Mould at all here is a link to a site that plays his stuff 24 hrs a day. Some of the live stuff is pretty raw but they play everything from Husker Du, Sugar and tons of solo stuff.
http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/directory.cgi?genre=search&searchdesc=granaryAllison
ps we should start a campaign for a similar station with nothing but Mascis all day. That would be pretty cool.
