Have you seen Dillion’s take on the Jazzmaster yet? Actually, it’s more like the Jagmaster. Check it out…

My band isn’t booking shows right now because we just lost our bass player, but as soon as we find a replacement we will be back on stage. We would gladly set up something with you in the Boston area.

Hey… I have a 2000 Stratus… great car! Only complaint I’ve ever had about it is that it eats brakes. I think maybe they are undersized for the car.

My wife used to have a Neon. It was a very good car too… sadly, somebody hit it and pretty much took off the entire front end. We considered having it fixed, but it was too destroyed.

Anyway… if you’re looking to play around the Boston area, my favorite place is The Middle East (http://www.mideastclub.com). You would want to play the upstairs… the guy that books for upstairs is named Shred, and he’s a really cool guy.

I also like the Jagmasters, you can get them for about $250, they 2nd gens have the full scale necks

Do you know what years they made them with the 25.5" necks? I’ve always wanted to pick one up, but all the ones I’ve seen have been 24".

So I guess as of this last January I’ve been playing for 20 years, wow I hadn’t thought about it before…… Jeez I would think I’d be better than I am by now. Oh well ;D

I know what you mean… I started playing in 1977… that’s 29 years! That’s longer than the other guys in my band have even been alive! Doesn’t even seem possible.

                    wasn’t the quote

"Any man under 30 who is not a communist has no heart; any man over 30 who is communist has no brain."

I don’t think so… especially not coming from Churchill. I have heard that he "borrowed" the line from Mark Twain, so that may have been Twain’s take on it.

J is from Western Mass… which may as well be in a different country than Boston.

Neon- there’s no difference, it’s just the same variation you find in any pedals. The yellow one sounded fine, the purple just had an extra edge to it.

Correct me if I’m wrong… but I always thought the yellow ones have the OC44 transistor in them, and the purple ones do not.

The tremelo (I think Fender called it the "Freeflyte") isn’t bad, but I would recommend getting rid of the locking nut and replacing the tuners with some Sperzel locking tuners.  That will make your life a lot easier.

That is original equipment… some of the Japanese Strats made around 1984-1985 had that tremolo and locking nut.  I believe the USA "Elite" series also had them.
