nothing really within any rational distance, plus some of the dates may just happen when I’m in Estonia… that would make them even more unreachable. dammit. -_-
I rmb when some local crap guitarist wannabe (now a crap bassist wannabe) brought a guitar magazine to school with him, and it had the very bold headline of "100 greatest guitar solos ever"… I just skimmed it, but one entry somehow caught my eye. the song was titled "freak scene", the guitarist’s name was j mascis, the band name was dinosaur jr… it all stuck out from the crowd of blandness that surrounded it, so I read the description… I was interested enough to do a google when I came home. turns out their new album just came out, I’ll down it for research purposes…
…it was just perfect. I was hooked before the first solo of "almost ready" ended, and the whole album turned out to be sublime. needless to say, within three days an original copy of beyond (found it in a local music store that I’ve befriended) was sitting in the discman…
the guys are perfect for me – the subtle, yet intriguing harmonic stuff putting them apart from the rest of the pack (I get the feeling that I’m more likely to hear a C7+ than a regular C in a dino song ^^), the undeniable sense of melody throughout (it may be a YLAOM song drenched with noise, but it has a genuine, powerful melody underneath…), the characteristic vocals, be it J or Lou, and of course J’s magnificent guitar work… I never cared for nirvana, sonic youth is too flat… but Dino is perfect.
I think they’ll play more of it now, that the record is coming out officially and all that jazz…
not searching for the better rip. the one I have (first leak) is not too cringeworthy, and I can wait for quality until I go to the store and get myself a physical copy of farm the day it comes out. I heard the record, it has good songs. and I will wait for its final shape to come when it gets officially released.

I think I’ll wait for a better rip or for the album to get released.you forgot to take into account it’s not meant as the final version of the album for us -_- it’s enough to get a peek at the songs, to ease the anxiety. we’re all buying the thing when it comes out…
I wanted to, since my man boobs are small, but it’s gone!

…you have a point.
but you also forgot to take into account that you don’t actually get any files from this
I’ll edit my posts and get rid of the word. you edit the post with the quote, k? thx
please, let’s not make a torrent out of this…

it’s called spambots -_-
simplest way out – add a question like "how much is 2+2?" in the new user registration
where’d you find it out of curiosity? soulseek? or it up somewhere else now too?
…well, I’ll let the others decide on this one. the man in charge is Tom, since he’s the one who found it.
you do seem genuine tho, with the "long reader" aspect… how else would you just pop up out of nowhere moments after we start discussing the album for good?
just an abbreviation of "something", bad internet influence. so…?
iono… you just registered, for all we know you may put this thing all over the web next second… can you tell us more about yourself or smt?
I can’t believe I never mentioned the obvious Without a Soundness of "see you"… I had that thought in the back of my head since the very first sample *slaps head* it’s a bit like "we’re not alone", except more Without a Soundish…
Without a Sound is okay, it’s just too contentless for its own good (J’s attempt to top charts? who knows)… it’s a decent record, but the worst Dinosaur Jr outing…
Farm keeps growing on me. I was all ZOMG at it after samples. it’s only gotten more impressive. it’s my favorite Dinosaur Jr record, and my favorite record overall. I can’t get myself to stop listening to it. when I stop listening to it, and put on some new Buckethead (something that would usually keep me all too occupied), all I can think of all Buckethead album long is putting Farm back on.
