I can try giving you a hand if needed, think I may manage, unless they overindulge on new stuff and the titles won’t be known yet ;]
I’m midway through the video evidence… and I have one thing to say. I have newfound faith in "I Don’t Wanna Go There", all of a sudden its magicka just smashed me to bits. Bring on Farm, I’m almost ready… thanks for filming it, whoever did. And may Dino debut some more songs on tour, because June 23rd feels even more away now, and I’m sure that the 10 cuts we don’t know are gonna be pretty unbelievably great too…
that album is one of the strongest outings as an entire album, since every track serves some sort of purpose and none of them seems like crud, filler or a miss. virtually every other dino jr or mascis record I listened to (apart from more light and beyond) has at least one questionable spot. this one is clean.
hoping to add farm to the list

I know that "see it as always" was a b-side on the waistin’ single (an original song) from the fog, and I can’t find the waistin’ single anywhere for even a semi-reasonable price… as for "noon at dawn", I know it was part of some sort of 7 inch from some peel session, and that mike johnson does the vocals. iono if it’s an original or not… saw both those tracks mentioned here, with "noon at dawn" redirecting to freesofree (well, not happening, not on there), and "see it as always" supposedly still in print at the time (definitely not now)
well, this record will probably turn out pretty diverse then… lou claims it’s like the old stuff, murph claims it reeks of where you been… I’m even more intrigued and waiting for it than before, if that’s even possible
good news about the where you been sound in a way, my gf likes that album the most and might just mind farm a little less as I’m spinning the hell out of it once it drops
oh yeah, and please please please share some show details with us when you get back. hope they play some new stuff… iono if they did do "I don’t wanna go there" or not

damn yo
got a little adrenaline rush until the ‘tube opened… forgot it’s april 1st today
you pulled the first (and only thus far) prank on me, congrats
@turnip farm being a warm up of alone: actually, turnip farm is the older tune here

recently, I started digging over your shoulder… I’m finally getting to like without a sound (of course not love it passionately, but a warmer emotion than the cold-shouldered indifference I had for it before), and this tune is actually really pretty.
I got introduced to dinosaur jr through beyond, don’t even remember how I found the record. it was love at first note, I knew that I’m done for before the first verse of "almost ready" ended. I investigated the other available records, and fell in love with them, but beyond somehow held a special place… it was a bit different than the others, yet in a way touched upon almost every single one of them. it somehow felt that the band grew so much… hard to determine if farm will manage to outdo beyond, but from the two bits we got it seems that it’ll be a solid record. the band’s nice and tight, they’re in shape, so to say.
mwahaha, good news, the tracklist and album title :] kind of surprised that "I don’t wanna go there" turned out to be the heralded "nine minute jam", since the slightly bland F-G in the back didn’t seem like the optimal vamp to carry a huge solo… but the pitchfork leads weren’t bad, so maybe J managed to lay down a monster of a solo that will blow my doubts away once the record comes out. and, right off the bat, the tracklist suggests two other lengthy lead tunes. personally, I think that J’s soloing really grew on Beyond (not like he was shabby before. in fact, he was pretty darn great. he just got insanely darn great), especially the longer leads started flourishing. another, unrelated thing – wondering how will the Lou tune sound on the record. the live version was considerably shorter, so it leaves room to manipulate with the "definite" version of the track. it’s a pleasant ballad, nice end of the album. waiting impatiently for Farm to come out. thanks for passing on the tracklist :]
purdy okay actually ;] wondering how the album version will sound, cuz according to Lou’s tracklist it’s longer… will it be slightly more "electric", or maybe a touch of J soloing… we’ll find out in June. dam, June feels pretty far away xD

Listen to the acoustic intro – J’s voice is just perfect. He’s almost crying.…I did
hello, fellow ‘forget it’ fan
I generally dig the tracks that are overlooked, for some weird reason… some of my faves have been mentioned here already: I don’t think (hehe, the perfect manifesto that hand it over is no without a sound), never bought it (nod to thumb with the flute, breathtakingly beautiful), turnip farm (why a b-side?! no idea…), alone (the eight-minute epitome of sadness and rejection), sure not over you (addicting bittersweet feel)…
there are a few others as well. I never noticed grab it getting a lot of love… I somehow dig it a lot. the chorus has my head bobbing along every time, and the leads are effing energetic!
another fave of mine is forget it (one of the green mind reissue bonus tracks). I have no idea why this surfaced as a bonus track years after being recorded – it’s simply perfect… from the sad, muttered vocals over a sole acoustic guitar to the final note of the outro lead, ever single bit of the song is unbelievable. I remember being floored by this tune when I first listened to it ^^
I also enjoy what if I knew, but there is a separate thread on the subject already xD
from non-dino songs, does the kiss fit also feels special – there’s something hooking about it, but I don’t mean your average cheap poppy hook to rake up the single sales. the solo is ace too…
I really love this song. there is something about it that sends shivers down my spine… this track is pure win. the leads are magical too ^^
