I think the main reason he doesn’t tour europe with the fog is because it’s too expensive. Since he lost money the last time, I don’t think he’ll come to europe with the fog again.
He doesn’t like touring? I think he’s just done a tour after every album.
The Fog? Watt and George I suppose, unless he picked up a new drummer. I think Watt really likes playing with J.
Jaron, how do you know it’s with fog?

Personally, I feel you can’t make a bluesmix-tape without Robert Johnson, so my contributions would be:
Robert Johnson-Cross Road Blues
Robert Johnson-Me and the Devil BluesNovember 25, 2002 at 6:06 pm in reply to: Malcom Report: November 25th ish: It doesn’t matter #83906Sounds like the stuff I write at night which I never let anyone read.
So why don’t you sign up for the student-visa thing? Just curious.Kurt’s journals, tough decision. Decided I wasn’t gonna buy it, because I don’t want to pay for Courtney’s salary. Flipped through it in a bookstore, though.
Sonic Youth – Teen Age Riot
Metallica? Come on.
French people aren’t easy on laws. In the Netherlands, France is known for throwing people into jail if they get the chance. This is (partly) due to the soft-drug policies of both countries, of course.
I don’t know if he was planning on trying Freakscene for the first time, but it seemed like he was getting so very little response from the crowd (including, I must admit, myself) that he figured he needed to really try and turn it into a good show. Playing it might have been on his mind for sometime and he just didn’t have anything to lose that night. And indeed, the song really turned the show around, both the crowd and J were really getting into it and he was even better, especially the solos, than in Amsterdam. Just Like Heaven was also amazing.
Yeah I got myself a ‘limited edition picture disc of ‘Start Choppin’. If worked out fine

Found this in a (free) Edinburgh paper (Metro):
J on the Mudhoney review:"He (that’s J, in case you get confused ) appears to be more concerned with the non-result of his recent review of Mudhoney in rock-monthly Mojo. ‘I never got paid. I thought I’d get like a free subscription or something. But nothing’"
Another cool quote:
‘I have never been skydiving. That’s just something the guy who wrote the press release made up to, I don’t know, be funny or something. I’m surprised people took it literally. People in Europe seemed so disappointed when I told them: "You mean your whole life is a lie?"’The rest of the interview is just stuff we’ve all heard a hundred times before. There’s also the famous picture of the legend his fender and bob with: ‘A dog’s life: J Mascis’ next to it.
You’d have to be really stupid to make that up. Belle and Sebastian – Sleep the clock around
Isn’t ‘The Plan’ in Marc Johnsons videopart in Modus Operandi? That is my favourite videopart ever. And not just because of the music. The way its produced with all the slow-motions perfectly matching with the music is absolutely amazing. And Johnson is one of the best skaters ever. (Only Penny, Koston and Rodrigo Tx. are better) Definetly underrated (as is the whole former A-Team).
I guess this is a good topic for this one: Has anyone seen ‘Dogtown and Z-boys’?
Yeah, really great gig. First song was ‘Someone said’. That was a bit of a surprise for me. ‘Flying Cloud’ was also one of my favourites. That ‘cut and paste’-pedal is really a great invention. Made ‘Get me’, ‘What else’s new’ and ‘Ammaring’ really good, whereas before they’d sort of drown in the soloing.
He looked really healthy for someone who’s just had surgery. Except the fact he was wearing a big body-warmer, while I had to take my sweater of because of the heat (and maybe to show everyone my ‘J Mascis + the Fog’ T-shirt ).
Never would have thought so many people still enjoy J so much. In the end everybody kept applauding and screaming for an encore. This woman behind me was yelling at the female presenter dB mentioned: ‘Get off the stage, let J back on! We don’t want you, we want J Mascis!’
Also checked out the new band of the former frontman of Kula Shaker, The Jeevas. Was pretty good.
Randy Newman – You can leave your hat on
Well more a few weeks ago than now actually, but it’s still an amazing song:
Is it wicked not to care? – Belle and SebastianHow dare they call Freakscene a "semi-official website".
I used to be really into it and I still skate sometimes. Not very often though. The thing is, I don’t live in California and it rains a lot here. I’ll start again in the spring and I skate till the end of the summer or so. It is really is damn fun, though.
