I heard from the sonic youth board that a security guard at a post office shot him after chris stole his baton and swung at him after the guard told him to leave because of an argument he was having with some woman. The guard is being investigated and may be charged or something like that.
These are some of my favorite records ever now. A lot of cool stuff this year:
Mars Volta- De-loused in the Comatorium
Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks- Pig Lib
Holopaw- s/t
Pleasure Forever- AlterAlso there’s gonna be a new Mark Lanegan record somtime and Modest Mouse(!!!!) record in September.

Anyone know why the hell Ultimatum isn’t releasing it too?
I’m broke. Thanks for the tip though, I’m sure I’ll end up buying it anyway. It’d be funny if we started keeping track of how many times he has to explain his ‘September 11th…claustrophobic’ theme behind the album title. Journalists should track down interviews with him before just blindly asking the same questions he’s been getting for months.

I read that his first solo album was better so I bought that, but upon hearing it I think I like Pig Lib a lot more. It sounds like more of a band effort I guess, I dunno. It’s pretty difficult listening but there’s something about it that’s really cool.
Holopaw: s/t
This is a really cool record. John Orth from Ugly Casanova is the singer.Trail of Dead:The Secret of Elena’s Tomb
Not too impressed with it, but it’s sort of just meant to be a cash cow for Interscope anyway it seems and not a follow up to Source Tags and Codes. I used to hate this band with a passion, but I dunno they grew on me.I just realized that I haven’t posted on here in like months.
I gotta get back into the habbit of it."everyonelovesjaron" wrote:Glad to see you’re hyped too LDD. We HAVE to get the DC gang to meet up before the show if at all possible this time. There was some talk about it for the solo show a while back, but we really should do it, especially if it’s with the Fog.totally. that would be really cool. The Black Cat only has dates updated until 1/31, so we should see some confirmation within a week or two.
wow.I dont know if I believe it. I read an interview at Pitchfork with Lou and he still seemed bitter.
Issac Brock was accused of rape in 1999, but the charge was dropped. I read about him talking about how hard it is to be branded a rapist. The link that someone posted early on said so. I really hope he doesn’t have Parkinsons…. But I dunno, he played with MM just two months ago so he must be ok. Oh yeah, LCW is the best one followed by M&A. Building Nothing Out of Something is really great too though, it shouldn’t be overlooked. One of the best things that ever came from being on the Freakscene was Jaron’s insistance that I buy some MM records. Best advice I’ve ever gotten

I’m an American though so I don’t know anything about any other country unless we’re at war with it. Just got it in the mail. It is indeed really great. It sort of blends the sounds of Hand It Over and More Light it seems. Good stuff.
He seems so comfortable with writing. It’s kinda weird. He’s always known for being so quiet, I don’t know if I’ve ever read anything like this. It’s kind of cool to see him from the point of view as a Mudhoney fan.
Thanks a lot for the link. Reminds me of Feel the Pain sort of. I heard Tell the Truth and was like ‘gee it sounds pretty average for him'(average being great, but still)…but this is much more impressive.
