Yeah, that would be cool to go see TOD and Queens. I’m gonna look into it, but even more pressing is the Sonic Youth show on the 8th at the 930. Probably won’t be too crowded since it conflicts with the Warped Tour. Sucks that Grohl isn’t drumming for Queens though. Tomorow I’ll be wearing a Sparta shirt and I’ll be with a guy that looks like Lennin (shaved head, funny glasses). I’ll also probably be the youngest guy there, as usual.

Sparta-Wiretap Scars
Got an advance copy in the mail yesterday. It comes out next month. Sparta= 3/5 of ATDI so obviously it’s a great album. I’d reccomend it to everyone who liked Relationship of Command. Which is also something i listen to lately.

I’m not getting emo here, just saying that it’s blatantly obvious that Sonic Youth can do no wrong, and it’s the review makes it seem like they exist for that person’s amusement, when in reality they do it for themselves.

Alice In Chains- Died (Layne sings about his adiction and death, last song they did together)
Dinosaur Jr- Alone (a song that always has a deep impact)
Nirvana- All Apoligies (same reasons as the alice in chains song, both very ominous in light of the later developments)

Ok, this guy makes me ashamed. Christ, I’m on a freaking high school newspaper and I know better than him. If you interview someone, you better know their life story inside and out otherwise you look like an idiot asking ‘are you playing with a band or solo’. Jesus, he’s been giging solo for months. Then there’s the sticking his two sense in during his little intro. Neil Young? God dammit. The most important thing to remember is that most often it’s fans that read a story like this, so they’ll tear you apart if you go on with you opinion about so and so’s influence and go on about how their songwriting went down the hole. You don’t say things like that unless you’ve got the person saying things that back it up. <img> Sorry, I vent because I care and whenever I read a bad interview I feel a combination of anger and pity for both artist and journalist. I’m done.

-Ugly Casanova-Sharpen Your Teeth
Apparently this whole story Issac Brock told about this guy Ugly Casanova is a complete lie that let’s him get out of his contract with Epic or something. Still very good though, but I liked it better when I thought the dude responsible for it was crazy.

Jaron is the smartest guy alive, he’s responsible for leading me to the greatest cd ever, lonesome crowded west. It has changed my life. It’s summer vacation and I’m really really really bored and I sorta miss school already what the hell is my problem. I ramble. Sorry.
