A curse on both our houses! *shakes fist* This is the coolest thread ever…everyone’s yelling at each other. We never fight. This is awesome, I just hope we live through it.
Yeah this does suck a lot, I feel pretty bad. One thing I’d like to say though, gruesome as it is, is that Cobain’s head was not mutilated by the gunshot it’s just a rumor (unless they mean decomposed which obviously would be true). When are people going to realize that drugs suck? It’s one thing when average drugies die but these musicians are talented people and the world is worse off without them.

I interviewed Krist Novoselic at the Black Cat on Friday for my school paper. Very cool guy. The show was easily the best I’ve ever been to. It’ll be posted on the paper’s website around May sometime here under the rank and file page: http://www.fcps.edu/marshallhs or you could go to http://www.nirvanaclub.com to see it, but the paper version will have more than just the interview.
Sparta (3/5 of ATDI) – Black Cat (DC) April 12
Eyes Adrift (Curt Kirkwood, Krist Novoselic) April 19
-Very excited about both shows, escpecially seeing former Meat Puppets/Nirvana/Sublime band perform.1. Has there been any more talk of putting out a live album or video?
2. Any idea on who will be playing with you when you go out on the road with a full band again? That’s all for now, I wanna save one more so i don’t come up with one and have to delete stuff.
My favorite is the Monster and Boy one that SST sells. I wear it at least once a week at school, and some people even know me as the ‘dinosaur kid’ because the flannel (almost everyday i wear flanel, not sure why) covers up the jr part. I also have the J bat/bug one that I got at a show in april of last year in DC.
That’s evil. Encarta and Britanica .com do it and make life real hard for us students. That ‘no copying’ stuff is evil and it should never be done, so there
The two albums and the headbanger single can be bought at http://www.musicweb.com for really cheap because they’re overstocks. I have the three, some of the stuff is almost good, but I’m thoroughly unmoved by it. Very sludgy with Nakajima’s very creepy bassy vocals.

DAMMIT. I’m in Alaska during the Baltimore gig, and to add insult to injury he might do the black cat as well while he’s down here (dc metro area) and that’s my like freakin backyard. I’d rather see J than Alaska any day.
An MGRCD 80 watt Marshall is my amp, the 50 watt equivelent runs about 250, and it’s sort of being phased out (the model) because of all the new avt whatnot. Guitar Center has them, you should try one.
What image comes to your mind as you hear it? Name it that. Songs with really obvious titles are boring I think….my 2 cents..
Soundgarden-Screaming Life EP on red vinyl for 25 dollars on Ebay, seen it go for 150 because it’s Soundgarden’s first release (i think) and one of Sub Pop’s first too.
Dinosaur Jr-Dinosaur autographed. Can’t really tell who signed it besides J and Murph, but it’s cool cause it’s their first cd and i got it for 30 bucks.
Screaming Trees-Change Has Come (cd and vinyl double 7 inch) Awesome ep with some great songs. Way out of print and only on Ebay. Come to think of it the only rare stuff i get is from Ebay. I live in Northern Virginia and there are hardly any good stores… where’s the one you refer to Rosa?
I got the magizine, but I’m lazy and i don’t feel like writing out the whole interview because unless your thoroughly interested in J’s studio equipment it’s dull. Among the most interesting things though, there’s the fact that the Experience Music Project mueseum bought his first guitar (this was mentioned) and J says "I couldn’t deal with the fact that I was spending so much money, I’d sit on the couch and think ‘It costs a thousand dollars to be looking out this window’" Hence the home studio. He says Bob appears on one b side (you can hear him walking around’. He also says there are 8 instrument and ‘a few’ vocal tracks for new album. There are pictures of Bob and the studio, including a shelf consisting of about 40 pedals that include everything from a Crybaby to big muff’s. I hope that answers some curiousity.
I believe in session was released in 2000.
