If J does read this….COME BACK TO LA. I want to see you play again. All electric this time. (Although I love the acoustic stuff too and would come anyway for the bajillianth time to see you). Last time you only played 3 electric. I like it LOUD. Regardless, come back to LA. LA misses you!
1. Where you Been
2. Green Mind
3. Martin + Me
4. More Light
5. Whatever’s cool with me
6. Bug
7. Free so Free
8. Ure Living All over me
I attended the show at the Roxy too. The electric set kicked ass, though short and sweet. And of course we love those acoustic sets too. But the loud stuff was impeccable…I wanted more but I know they could only do so much. Small crowd, but fun and supportive. It almost felt like a private show. J is the man. He’s so cool…but I wish he would smile more. He sort of half smirked when Watt came out on stage. It was awesome.
Anticipation…J Mascis
Leaving on a Jet plane …J Mascis
Ripple…Janes Addiction
Wild Horses…Sundays
You’re just too good to be true…Lauryn HillJust a few off the top of my head
Thanks for the info! I can’t wait. I love his acoustic shows. I’ve seen him acoustic twice now so this will be the third time. I do love his loud powerful shows too though. Oh well. Thanks again for the information.
I love Harvest Moon. When I moved to LA five years ago, before I had any friends or furniture, I used to sit in my empty apartment after work at least 4 nights of the week and listen to Harvest Moon. It was a great comfort. Neil helped me through some lonlely times. Five years later, I have great friends and great furniture. Ha Ha!
Happy Birthday J. You fu*kin’ rock!!
Please come to LA to play again soon.
I’m a saggitarius too!

These quotes are about as fancy and original as a brick wall, but they are the two that I live by:
"Actions speak louder than words"
"Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture, you can change a person’s life. For better or for worse."
Finally, one from the late great Jerry Garcia
"There is a road, no simple highway
Between the dawn and the dark of night.
And if you go, no one may follow.
That path is for your steps alone." Oh crap…
On my list I forgot to add the following:
J Mascis- More light
Morrissey- Bona Drag
Sebadoh- Bake Sale
(Iknowcursemetohellbutiloveitsomuch)Oh and the Roots album is "Things come Apart" not things come a live. Gimme a break, I work too much. As for your reply on Buffalo Tom, I agree that "Let me come over" is overlooked a lot. I’m suprised more people don’t listen to them. I saw Buffalo Tom last year at the Troubadour and they sounded so good. I like "Big Red Letter Day" too. And Fugazi, that album used to make me wish I was a punk rock boy who played bass in a band. Ha Ha!
Some of my all time favorite albums include:
Dinosaur Jr.- Where you Been

I don’t know where "songs in commercials part 1 is" but my favorite is the Timberland commercial where
they use "The Wind" by Cat Stevens. That commercial is quiet and beautiful.Ha Ha. Very funny Kurticus! You’re silly.
