Haha, i do.
Dude, stop being a noob and then get his stuff.
First of all, the Meatball is an envelope filter and it will not get you even close to J’s sound. Get 2 vintage Muffs and a Superfuzz, a blue box, a custom audio electronics tremolo, a phase 100, ehx electric mistress, a memory man, an ibanez analog delay, a cloyde mccoy wah, a small clone and a clone theory.
Dude, just get a Jazzmaster…

Gargasius gives you the nod of dissaprovalhmm???
cool thanks!!!
Uhh that seems like a short set, dont bother with pics, i’d rather read other setlists and sutff.
haha but who is tina?
Yeah but wtf does Lokah Sama Sthah Sukhino Bhauantu mean???
sure if you have 350 pounds to spend… And plus they’re discontinued so they only make it if someone really wants it.
Its not a pedal for getting J’s sound though, its an envelope filter, he used is on Alone and maybe another song.
Uhh J uses ‘rams head’ EHX vintage muffs, my friend.

I’ve had alot of guitars ranging from cheap gibson copys and squiers to usa gibsons and now vintage guitars. Ebay is the only way to get real value for money in my opinion; you can get US made fenders and gibsons cheaper than the jap model price in guitar shops. I got a US SG for £350 which is way cheaper than an epiphone copy in a guitar shop. What I really recommend though is getting hold of a vintage guitar. Not only are they superior in nearly everyway they are a great investment. They go up in price every year so it’s best to get one asap before the prices get silly. I had to save up for about a year to get my jazzmaster but it’s the best thing i’ve ever done.In regard to the orginal question I would simply recommend a jazzmaster and not just because J uses them. They are easily the most diverse guitars I’ve ever played and i dont have a big muff or many pedals. They sound great for any style you wanna go for especially for playing chords, the only problem i get due to the low action is lack of sustain on bends. I read that this is just a problem with vintage JMs but i can’t be arsed making the action higher.
Exactly. They’re cool guitars and they sound killer. It really doesnt matter if J uses them or not, because most of his gear is enormous and vintage which is very expensive, so you wouldnt get his tone either way.
Anyone who can’t set up the JM stock bridge is an idiot. Yeah, it rattles, but if you set it up properly theres less chance of it rattling and half of the tone goes with its bridge, the bridge gives that jangly and surfy sound. The only problem with it that I dislike and really really dislike is that theres a lot of slapback on the strings and my low e always pops out and its out of place. oh well.
Look, siresofnothing, I think its best to wait and get some extra money and get a ‘real’ guitar and not a copy. Squires just keep fucking you and requiring annoying setups every week. Do what I did, stick with your strat copy, and save up for like a jazzmaster or if you really want p90’s a Epiphone/Gibson Les Paul with p90’s. Think about it, it makes sense. Save yer moneys.
