this is essential so we can know what to reccomend

the most important thing to tell us if you want real fuzz, or more distorted big muff, dinosaur-ish sort of fuzz

anyways, if youre looking for a fuzz pedal i think these days you cant get good ones that arent overpriced. the only good fuzz pedals are waaay overpriced (fender blender, fuzz factory)

a compressor might be good cause its also a sustain pedal. maybe some booster pedal too. mxr has great compressors and boosters.

if you can get one, get a maestro fuzz tone. they just reissued it. its one of the best fuzz pedals ever. real 60s fuzz, its in a black box which looks like an early superfuzz. super sexy too.

i think that if youre looking for sustain and fuzz, you probably cant find a good pedal. fuzz pedals dont have a lot of sustain.

the big muff was made in 69, but it was very rare because it was only made by one guy. i dont know, he could have got it but i doubt it. i heard rumours about him using les pauls in studio too. i dont know if its true though.

jimi never used muffs. he used only dalas arbeiter fuzzfaces. the muffs were produced a tear after he died i tihink

ive been using my ds1 lately as a booster for the big muff. all settings on it are up (since the ds1 has no balls only treble and when you turn it up you get a really shitty distorted sound)
when turned on (all the way up), it makes the big muff sound waaay more trebley, and it sounds like turning a wah on, but leaving it all the way down. loud as fuck as well
