No Go

I love that song and haven’t seen a good tab for it yet.
I think it is one of Jay’s best and I can’t believe more people don’t like it.
I guess Jay doesn’t like it much either because he never plays it.
I have both.
Never really can get into my Rat. Love, LOVE, my Vintage Big Muff!!
I went through this same exercise a year ago and ended up purchasing a new USA Jazzmaster. It’s an awesome guitar. I needed some Frett work on the high end to make it more playable. I would like to have gotten the neck they use on the Jay model.
I was able to compare some Vintage models with the one I got. The vintage ones sounded different, perhaps warmer, but more different than anything else. What I mean is that mine has a great Jazzy sound too, just different than the vintage ones I played. Also, I think each vintage one may sound a little different too.
I just couldn’t justified with my guitar skill level paying three to four times as much for the same guitar!
So how do the oversized Frets play?
Will someone please post the article.
Well, I’ll wait to hear more info, but I’m surprised Jay would agree to do a signature Japan series. Oh well.
Is it American made or not?
If it will go for $600 to $700, must be a Japanese version. I just bought a new Jazz for $1300 something.
I was told the same thing. They will never have it in stores and you will have to get it off their website.
Best Buy used to be fantastic. I remember a time they actually had Honeymoon Killers and Pussy Galore.
Who cares what Jay looks like. I would like to read the article though.
Yep -that’s it – the Real McCoy.
If someone will host the image, I can email it to them. Otherwise, I can email the image to you. Send me a message.
As far as I know you are correct. Jay did not use a Real McCoy Wah in the early years.
He does have a custom Real McCoy Wah, but I was told the RMC2 is close.
BTW – how is a Wah pedal not a part of "gear"…whatever.
I have a vintage Big Muff played through a Marshall and it sounds great. Not sure how a modern Big Muff sounds compared to a Vintage…sorry.
"beruangkecil " wrote:i never wonder about j’s wah sound but i always wonder what fuzz pedal he used.sucks to getting his sounds dude!Huh – I think Jay’s wah has a ton of noise and sweep to it. It’s been my experience that the way does shape your overall sound even if your not using the pedal.
Get a Real McCoy Wah. See my thread.
