Anyone know a good place in LA to get them?
All of them! I’m a little worried that all I have been playing lately is Dino Songs.
I like Raisins and Thumb – but there all so fun to play and improvise leads.
Is this CD a must have?
Where can you get the gold pickguard?
Now I’m all for this…but I just don’t get it.
What is the connection between DJ and Nike? I never would have thought that DJ is a big enough band that Nike would be interested. Now I can see a U2 shoe.
Congrats Bud!
Not a big Sebadoh fan. Would this mean Dino won’t tour to support their new album??

I hope to do a comparison when they get a new American Jazz in.
I’ll keep everyone posted.

"Perhaps the strangest difference between new and old guitars are the reissue Jazzmaster pickups. For some reason, the Fender company decided to veer from the original design here. The original Jazzmaster pickups have a shallow and wide coil winding. This allows the pickup to sample a wider area of the string and provides a thick tone. The reissue Jazzmaster pickups have narrow and deep coil windings, like a Strat or Jaguar. These pickups sound relatively thin, and much more like a Strat or a Jaguar than old Jazzmasters."Thats what I’d been trying to say.
Please clarify – this is referring to the Japanese ones…not the new USA versions??
Fender claims the USA versions are just like the originals??

It sure sounds like Jay to me. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Cool…thanks for putting it up. What’s the deal with FLAC. Is the quality better than mp3? Seems the same to me.

Ohh…Good to know. I just put an order in for one from Guitar Center here in LA. I don’t have to buy it if I don’t like it. The nice thing is that Guitar Center has about 10 or more Vintage Jazzmasters so I plan on comparing the new AV Jazzmaster to the originals.
I bet they will come out with a Jay signature edition, but I couldn’t wait.
The sales rep asked me what color I wanted and I wasn’t sure. He pulled out their Fender catalog and the page that had the Jazzmasters was a picture of Masics on stage with his…cool.
Ughh…what’s a "av" jazzmaster?
Does anyone know how to play Pond Song?
I called Fender today and the guy I spoke to was aware of the rumor of a signature Jazzmaster, but said there are no immediate plans. If it was going to happen, it wouldn’t be until 2008.
