The fact is that Jimy Hendrix was more open minded and was always up to experiment new things.
I’d love to hear some more experimentation from J. It would be great to hear some new stuff from him. I remenber the song of Dinosaur with the hip hop band on the compil ‘just another victim’ It was one of the best song with the one by Helmet and House Of Pain.lol lol

Hendrix is way, way better than J and beyond ! Hendrix is the shit in the guitar world and for a undetermined time.
Technical metal heads, Indie boys and everyone agree on that ……..
J is good and has kind of the same approach than Hendrix on guitar , lot of emotion and free solo.. he gave chills
but hes too on pentatonic scale and same gimmicks and sometime do too much, demonstration and long pentatonic solos
Hendrix is so much more than that..

Barlow add a lot of power to the performance and that’s so great to see him instead of Mike Jones who looked like he was’nt in the thing and did’nt give a fuck.

At the end of the song J Mascis is completly on the wrong scale on the last guitar solo, a few second before the end… I can’t understand he does this kind of mistake at this time of his career. Probably the stress of being on letterman in front of millions of people ..don’t knowHi !
and I would like to say that J Mascis is one of the musician that I love the most.

I think one of the best show is J with Broken Social Scene. You can feel that people playin’ with mascis are happy, enthousiastic and it works very well between them. It feel like they are the best musicians for Mascis without Lou and Murph. + Mascis sings very well on this one!
