The picture is from a collection of trailers for imagined punkrock biopics. Sorta like if someone had made a movie adaptation of Michael Azerrad’s Our Band Could Be Your Life albeit many years before the book had even been published.

I’m not sure when this video was made but I watched it once maybe about seven or eight years ago when Jim (the fella in the pictures) lived in NoHo. The Dino trailer was quite funny. If I remember correctly Dave Stacey played Murph. I don’t recall who played Lou. I believe it was someone I didn’t recognize.

The clip took place in a living room where the three sat around acting real bored. The J character talks "drum sounds" with Murph before the two of them gang up on Lou. Then the Lou character (after taking this verbal beating) thinks in voiceover something along the lines of "I’ll show them. I’ll start my own band which will be ten times better!" and so on and so forth. I’m sure you’ve all heard the story before. It certainly was good for a laugh although perhaps a bit of a mean spirited one at that. But of course it can be argued that such was the fashion of the time.
